Nellie is a sweet but timid kitty who has been living with her foster home for three years now. She`s come a long way since she came to BARS as a pregnant stray cat! Although easily spooked, she loves to chase the laser pointer, play with string, get pets from her foster mom, and snuggle with other kitties. Nellie is continuously learning how to trust people, but she will curl up by her foster mom`s feet and is always hanging out in the main room, scoping out the situation and looking for a reflection to chase. She`s truly a special cat and has been very low maintenance in her foster home! She would do well in a home with no dogs, children who are good with cats, and needs another kitty friend to show her the ropes.

Hi! I`m Taylor, and I`ve been with BARS for almost 3 years!! I came into care as a young feral mama to be, and had my babies the very next day!!! Since coming into care I`ve learned that there are humans that can be trusted, and the best humans for me are those that will let me be me, and let me do things at my own pace. Some days I like being petted, and will sleep at my foster humans` feet most nights. Other days I`m more skittish and am happier on my own. I can still spook easily, and I don`t know if I`ll ever be a lap cat ( although it looks like it could be nice if I get brave enough). I`m used to being around other cats, and get on great with my doggy foster brother too! I love to play when I think no one is watching me, and I love bird and gopher watching from the cat tree too!

Since returning, I`ve been diagnosed with diabetes, but my foster Mom says I`m `an absolute champ` at taking my insulin injections.I absolutely love to flop over for my foster Mom and show her my white tummy, and when she sits with me I like to curl up in her lap. It took a while for me to trust that I was safe but after building trust she says I am a purrfect housemate!I don`t like loud environments and while I have lived with other cats and a small dog, I would also be happy being your only best boy! Hi, I`m Pipsy! I`m a young, energetic ball of fun. I love to play and make people laugh with my silly antics. I might have three legs, but that doesn`t stop me from hopping around and having a good time, my one leg is a little silly looking but has never caused me any discomfort, and adds to my charm - I had a femoral head break at a very young age as well as damage to the growth plates. My Dr. says I’ve healed great and have no pain associated with it. I`m also very sweet and friendly. I love to cuddle and be close to people. I`m always up for a good game of chase or a cozy nap on a warm lap. I may be a bit different, but that`s what makes me special. THEODORE IS PART OF A BONDED PAIR WITH NUTMEG (FF2359), THEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.Theodore is a very silly, affectionate cat. He is shy with new people, but he LOVES attention and getting pet. He took care of his younger sisters, even nursing them until we were able to reunite the whole family. He likes to lay beside his person and will poke them if they aren`t giving him enough pets, he will also do this to other cats to get them to clean him. Theodore also really enjoys gentle belly rubs. He is very active and makes me laugh constantly. He loves playing with a towel and will make just about anything a toy. He will hang upside down on his cat tree to look at people. He loves watching the birds out the window and is a good bug catcher. He also loves helping with sweeping and cleaning, aka looking for attention. He has met the large dog in his foster home and has no problems with him. Theodore will do best in an adult only home since he does spook quite easily.
