Story
***Thanks to a generous donation from Tika’s owners, all senior cat adoption fees are being sponsored through our Tika Senior Cat Adoption Promotion – including Bentley’s! Bentley is an ~ 11 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Bentley is a calm, lowkey older gentleman. He prefers his independence, can become overstimulated at times, and will quickly tell his humans when he's had enough of their non-sense. Don't let this lead you to believe that he isn't a sweet and social guy though, because he certainly is! His foster mom tells us he loves pets and cuddles but will occasionally give little "nips" as if to say "I'm done with that, please stop". His foster mom has the following to say about him: "Bentley is a gentle giant who needs a period of adjustment for adoption. He can be a little timid when facing new situations but with patience and a calm atmosphere he will adapt well. He loves to cuddle on a nice comfy lap. He likes his playtime as well. He eats well and has excellent litter box skills. He will make a great addition to a more quiet and calm household." Bentley enjoy playing with his humans also but, also is very much ok with doing his own thing. He is very playful and curious, and because of his sass-ittude we believe he should be around kids 12 years and older, and given that he spent some time at CRHS in a communal room with other cats, we believe he should do well in a home with another cat given slow and proper introductions. Bentley asks that any home he lives in does not have any dogs, and they may scare him. Story
Lula is a 6-year-old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Lula! Lula is a sweet and beautiful lady who is looking for a loving forever home where she would have plenty of time and space to come out of her shell as she gets used to her new surroundings. She did take some time to adjust here at the shelter and wasn’t initially very happy with her new surroundings so she will need lots of time, space, and understanding as she adjusts in her new home. Once she does though, she is a friendly and outgoing lady who loves to explore her surroundings and be a part of everything going on around her. She will follow you around just to check out what you are up to and find fun new things to play with. When things settle down for the day, she is a laid-back girl who likes to get lots of beauty rest whether it is in a cozy warm bed or next to a sunny window. Lula is looking for a cat-savvy family who understands that she may need lots of time and space while adjusting. She would do best in a home with older children at least 10 years of age who can understand her cues and that she may prefer her space and independence sometimes. She has lived with other cats her whole life and currently resides in a communal living area here at the shelter with several other cats whom she can easily co-exist with. Story
Galileo is a 6-month-old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Galileo! Galileo is a sweet but timid little man who came into the shelter needing just a little bit of love, understanding, and patience while he worked on his socialization skills. He has spent some time in a loving foster home where he has started to open up and show his adorable personality - and he's now ready to venture off into a loving forever home of his very own. While he will need some time and space to adjust in a new home, once he does he is a typical kitten with lots of energy who loves to go exploring, chase around his toys, play with his feline friends, and find the occasional kitty mischief to get into! Once he has had some time to get to know you, he does enjoy pets and may even follow you around just to check out what you are up to. His foster mom says he LOVES to supervise cleaning time – especially when she is mopping or sweeping! And, she also says he has the softest coat ever! Since Galileo is a shy guy who does startle easily at times from fast movements and loud noises he is looking for a calmer and quieter home with a cat-savvy family where he can continue to come out of his shell. So, he is looking for a family with older children at least 8 years of age or older who won't chase or scare him. He is much more outgoing and confident with another feline friend right by his side, so he is required to go to a home with another cat. He may do ok with other calm and respectful pets in the home given very slow and proper introductions to one another. Chimichurri is an 11-year-old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! She is also front declawed. Meet Chimichurri! Chimichurri is a sweet and gorgeous older lady who is ready to be dotted on by her special someone. She is a social kitty who adores pets and snuggles from everyone she meets. She is a mellow, low-key, and demure lady who doesn’t ask for much other than a few cozy beds to catnap in, a relaxing spot next to a sunny window, and a soft place to perch on top of a cat tree or cat shelf. Don’t let her older age fool you though, she can be quite the curious kitty at times and likes to go exploring. Although she loves being by your side when you are around, she also does great with her independence and finding things to do when you aren’t around. Since Chimichurri is such a sweetie who loves everyone, she should do great in any home. This includes those with children of any age as well as other pets given slow and proper introductions to one another. Story
Dagda is a 2-year-old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Dagda! Dagda is a BIG, lovable, and goofy guy who is ready and waiting to provide endless entertainment and snuggles to his loving forever family. He adores pets and attention from everyone he meets - especially head and chin scratches! When he's not busy being a social butterfly, he can be an active and playful guy who likes to go exploring and chase his toys around. But he can also be quite laid back and mellow when he tires out as well. Dagda hasn't met a person that he doesn't like so he should fit right into just about any family. Although he doesn't like a lot of over-handling, he should do great with respectful children of any age. He should also do just fine with other pets in the home given slow and proper introductions. Junior is a sweet, social, and snuggly guy who loves getting attention from just about everyone that he meets. He adores pets and snuggles, and he will never leave your side if you allow it. He is a super low-key and mellow man but he does have his moments of silliness and curiosity when something interesting catches his eye. If you are looking for a good conversationalist, Junior is just the kitty for you as he can be quite the talkative kitty as well! Junior is a sweet and social guy but he may occasionally get stressed out when there is a lot of chaos around; so, he may appreciate a bit of a calmer and quieter home. He really should do great with respectful, quiet, and calm kids of any age though as well as with other pets given slow and proper introductions to one another. He did previously live in a home with a younger child, another kitty, and a dog all of whom he did great with as long as he had his own quiet space to call his own when he needed some alone time.
