Story
From the owner: We've had Mitsu for 4 years. She only has 3 legs, but it doesnt really stop her or slow her down. We found her as a kitten and her paw was crushed, so the vet had to amputate it. She isn't really good with other animals because of it, it seems like she's always kind of on guard. With people she's sweet and cuddly once she knows you. She gets nervous when new people come to the house, but once they've been over a few times, she opens up and shows her sweet side. Needs someone gentle and patient with no other pets.

Story
Charlie is about 6 years old. A former roommate got him for her son when they were living here. About 3 years old, they moved out and couldn't have cats in their new place. I've been caring for him since! He loves to play with my dogs. It's pretty hilarious to watch because he doesn't back down and sometimes he initiates the play. He is very soft and sweet. He likes to go outside and roam. I have a fenced in backyard so it's never been an issue. He is REALLY fat! The former roommate fed him all the time, mostly with people food. I've been trying since to get his weight down with no progress. But hey, if you like fat cats, he's your match! He is fixed and doesn't have front claws. He does have the back ones. He is an avid snuggler too. If you're in a recliner, he will jump up and sit between your legs purring. He's very easy to love!

Story
Topaz is a sweet, snuggly kitty who’s ready to rule her kingdom—your lap! While she might take a little time to warm up, once she decides you’re her person, she’ll adore you completely. She’s the kind of cat who will happily curl up on your lap or chest, soaking up all the love (and giving it right back). Topaz might be a little shy at first, but don’t be fooled—underneath her exterior is a loyal companion who’s just waiting for the right moment to shine. She’s not one for toys right now, but we suspect she’ll bloom once she feels safe and secure in her forever home. She loves gazing out the window, brushing up on her “birdwatching” skills, and getting pampered with brushing and gentle grooming. When it comes to roommates, Topaz has tolerated other animals to an extent, but she’s made it clear she’d prefer to be your one and only. As the queen she is, she believes she deserves all the attention, and honestly, she’s right! A home without other pets would be her dream come true. Treats? Yes, please! She’s a fan and will happily accept your offerings as part of her royal decree. So, if you’re looking for a cuddly companion who just needs a little patience to show you her full personality, Topaz is ready to be your queen.

Story
Boots is a feral/stray cat that appeared on our wooded property in late January. I had him checked for an ID chip, he did not have one. Had him neutered, Vet determined he was a year old male. He’s a very affectionate cat, loves attention and is pretty smart. But he does not get along with my two cats. Has not caused any damage in our home. Easy to train. Hoping to find him a loving home.

Story
Blair is a young kitten with years of adventure and excitement ahead of her. Blair is a sweet kitten who will give big purrs when being pet. We paired her up with Milton, an older cat who loves attention and is confident meeting new people. Milton is showing Blair how great humans are and she’s gaining her confidence slowly. These two sweethearts are a perfect matching tuxedo pair. Milton is on a life long urinary care diet. Fill out an application to meet these two amazing cats! Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.- Applications can be downloaded from our website.
