Story
Say hello to this beautiful lady, Molly Mittens! She is 10 years old, and has hyperthyroidism which requires medication twice a day. She can be a sweet girl who enjoys gentle pets, she just takes some time to warm up and adjust. Affection is something she quite enjoys on her own terms! Molly can get a bit overstimulated at times, so she needs a patient owner who can respect her boundaries. In her previous home she was stressed out around younger children, so a quiet home is best for her. She is not a huge fan of other cats and would like to be your one and only!Meet Molly Mittens at out shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt. All adoptable cats from OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Look at this beautiful boy!! Sundae has become an ICON at the shelter as he has been with us since he was young. He  was found in some bushes outside someone's home, and turned over to one of our volunteers at their church. Sundae is exceptionally tidy about his personal hygiene, always keeping himself perfectly "catscaped". His beautiful fur is always gleaming white. He likes to be seen so you can normally find him sunning himself in our front window or on the highest perch of a cat tree. He is a friendly boy, he loves to be pet and spoken to (if you are telling him how handsome he is) but doesn't love to be carried...probably because he likes to saunter on his own for maximum attention. He is selective about other cats ex. who he will nap with or who he will share a cat tree cubie with. He seems to be partial to the gingers as he can often be found napping or hanging out with Shortcake. Sundae is not a rough play kind of guy.  If you have a window with a comfy seat for Sundae and Shortcake in your home, they will happily become your best friends. If you would like to meet Sundae and Shortcake, please submit an online adoption application on our website www.littleorphans.org Give our Adoption Team 2-5 business days to process the info and check references. You will receive an email from them advising of the next step. Upon approval a volunteer will call to arrange a private appointment to come and meet the cats.   As with all of our cats, they are neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. ***Some Photos courtesy of The Cat's Brew, Sun Prairie, WI.    https://www.thecatsbrew.com/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 24, 2024, 11:48 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Originally named Scarlett,(when he went to the vet we discovered "Scarlett" was a "Rhett" instead), was abandoned in a foreclosed house and left alone for weeks. The work crew who found him brought him to us, terrified and starving. He still understandably has trust issues with humans.  Rhett has been working on that issue, and has very positive relationships with our volunteers that he has grown up with at the shelter. He loves to pet, mostly on his tushy, but the more he trusts you the closer you can get to his head. He loves to be loved on, and the more attention you give him the more he comes around you the next time! He does startle easily if approached too quickly or if other cats begin to run or crowd around him. He likes other cats and allows his longer term friends to rub against him or even sit by his cubie but those trust issues are hard to work through sometimes for Rhett. We know in a home Rhett would be able feel safe and comfortable in no time. Again, he loves attention and does love people when they understand how he needs to be cared for.  If you feel like you might be that special person/family that Rhett has been waiting for a LONG time, please go to our website to start the process of adding this special cat to your life. Rhett is UTD on  vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.   You can find our online adoption application on our website littleorphans.org.  After your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to arrange a private Meet & Greet with this gorgeous boy.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 14, 2024, 3:08 pm
