Story
Cat was found wandering outside of my place of work a few weeks ago. It eventually made its way under my vehicle on a warm day and stayed until I got off. She looked in rough shape. Very thin, dirty and noticeable head tilt. I decided to catch her and bring her home. My wife and I began working on getting it back healthy. Has recovered well and we took her for a vet visit. Vet did not identify any major issues. Confirmed the cat has a head tilt and possible vision impairment. Believes it could be from head injury or birth defect. The cat has had no issues eating, drinking or performing daily movements. Has interacted with our dogs and other cats just fine. No aggressive behaviors. My wife has grown to really like the cat, but we just have too many animals currently in the house and no room to spare. Needs a loving new home and an owner that is willing to interact and assist her.

Story
Hero is currently located in a foster home, here are a few words from his foster:"This gentle boy is aptly named, because he is indeed a hero. He was struck by a car and found with serious injuries to his pelvis and left leg. The emergency animal hospital preformed extensive surgery and he started his lengthy healing and rehab. Through all this he remained sweet, patient and loving. Now, several months later, his has become a feisty, in your face helper and cuddlebug wherever you sit down.Hero's best life would be as an only cat in the house, but he does get along with small dogs. He likes children above the age of 5 years and he is very partial to my nine year old granddaughter. One caution is that he will try to run out the door. He is fascinated with all things outside the window and hangs out by the door hoping to sneak out. I would keep him if he was companionable with my cat as he is just about perfect. There will be tears when he leaves for his new home."Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website.
