Bentley is an ~ 11 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Bentley is a calm, lowkey older gentleman. He prefers his independence, can become overstimulated at times, and will quickly tell his humans when he's had enough of their non-sense. Don't let this lead you to believe that he isn't a sweet and social guy though, because he certainly is! His foster mom tells us he loves pets and cuddles but will occasionally give little "nips" as if to say "I'm done with that, please stop". His foster mom has the following to say about him: "Bentley is a gentle giant who needs a period of adjustment for adoption. He can be a little timid when facing new situations but with patience and a calm atmosphere he will adapt well. He loves to cuddle on a nice comfy lap. He likes his playtime as well. He eats well and has excellent litter box skills. He will make a great addition to a more quiet and calm household." Bentley enjoy playing with his humans also but, also is very much ok with doing his own thing. He is very playful and curious, and because of his sass-ittude we believe he should be around kids 12 years and older, and given that he spent some time at CRHS in a communal room with other cats, we believe he should do well in a home with another cat given slow and proper introductions. Bentley asks that any home he lives in does not have any dogs, and they may scare him. Lula is a 6-year-old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Lula! Lula is a sweet and beautiful lady who is looking for a loving forever home where she would have plenty of time and space to come out of her shell as she gets used to her new surroundings. She did take some time to adjust here at the shelter and wasn’t initially very happy with her new surroundings so she will need lots of time, space, and understanding as she adjusts in her new home. Once she does though, she is a friendly and outgoing lady who loves to explore her surroundings and be a part of everything going on around her. She will follow you around just to check out what you are up to and find fun new things to play with. When things settle down for the day, she is a laid-back girl who likes to get lots of beauty rest whether it is in a cozy warm bed or next to a sunny window. Lula is looking for a cat-savvy family who understands that she may need lots of time and space while adjusting. She would do best in a home with older children at least 10 years of age who can understand her cues and that she may prefer her space and independence sometimes. She has lived with other cats her whole life and currently resides in a communal living area here at the shelter with several other cats whom she can easily co-exist with. After spending extended time in quarantine due to her food allergies, she's eager to find a loving family who can help her thrive. Faith has food allergies and is currently on a specialized rabbit-based diet. She will need an experienced adopter who is willing to work closely with their veterinarian to find the perfect dietary plan that keeps her happy and healthy. Faith's unique dietary needs might seem a bit daunting, but with the right care and commitment, she'll flourish. In addition to her dietary requirements, Faith is still catching up on some social skills. She's a bit behind in learning how to "cat" and will benefit from a patient owner who can help her build confidence and teach her the ropes of feline life. Mork is one of the Fountain City 51. He is one of the oldest males (best guess around 5 years old), so we suspect that some of the others might be his children and grandchildren. Mork likes people, but on his own terms. When he is done, he retreats to the top of the cat tree (or the cabinets), where he can keep an eye on things. The Fountain City 51 came to BCHA from a hoarding situation. They arrived covered in fleas and dirt, malnourished, and very scared. All of them have received the medical care that they needed, including flea treatments, vaccines, and spay/neuter surgeries. And thanks to our amazing volunteers, they have blossomed into cats, learning to play with toys and to seek affection from humans. Some are very outgoing while others are still reserve, so we will be working carefully with potential adopters to make sure that each cat finds the home that is the fit.
