Story
It's hard to believe this handsome guy was ever a stray, but that he was. He started sneaking into our yard from time to time to grab a bite to eat. He seemed too sweet to be an outdoor cat and since we just happen to love stray cats, we brought him inside. Benjamin was definitely very shy with us at first. But once we coaxed him out of his shell, he was cuddly, charismatic, and playful. He loves to lay by your legs and get all the belly rubs. He will get as close as he possibly can to you and settle in for all the love. He really can't get enough belly rubs and neck scratches. Ben is a very laid-back, gentle cat, but he will go full beast mode on toys from time to time. He loves cat trees, climbing, chasing toys, and being close to his people. He will come running to you if you call his name and wants nothing more than to be loved and please his people. He will look to his humans for reassurance that he is doing okay and loves to hear words of praise. He's a pretty tender-hearted boy, but lacks confidence at times, and needs that positive reinforcement. Ben would thrive in a quiet, low-key, loving environment. He does get a bit overwhelmed with too much noise and chaos. He has to be allowed time to adapt to his new home at his own pace. It will take a bit of time for him to fully trust his new family, but Ben is definitely worth it. He does need a family that will be with him more than they're away from him. He is an incredible cat, a wonderful companion, and just has the sweetest disposition. He really is at his best when he's with his people. Est. DOB October 2021, Benjamin is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Story
These two have come so far, literally far - all the way from Kuwait, and medically far as well. Little Helen Keller and Murdock are both Arabian Maus that arrived at 5 months of age; both under 2 lbs! Helen is definitely the protector. Shes missing one eye and has limited vision in the other but she doesn't seem to miss a thing! She's always there by Murdock's side as a reassuring force. She's strong willed and a go go girl but loves her booty scratched and purrs like a freight train! Murdock is a complete love bug who melts into your body shoving his face under your chin like he just can't get close enough! He adores cuddles and enjoys being brushed every day. Although he is blind and has CH, he gets around very well and loves to explore new areas. Since arriving on American soil in December, they've reached healthy weights, recovered from eye infections and enucleations, and became free of ringworm (common in our Kuwait rescues). Murdock did all of this while having CH (cerebellar hypoplasia) - wobbling through it all completely blind. They purred and played every day getting more and more strong and healthy as time went by. And now, 2 months short of their first birthday, they are as healthy as can be and ready to find their forever home together to be loved snuggled and spoiled every day. These two had such a rough start in life, they're looking to catch up on fun and lovies!

Story
Available June 29, 2024. Meet Barnaby, the energetic kitten who is always on the go! This playful little man loves nothing more than playing with his siblings and chasing after his favorite toys. When it's time to wind down, Barnaby shows his sweet and gentle side, enjoying quiet moments of affection. While he might be a bit hesitant with new people at first, his cautious nature quickly gives way to his loving personality. If you're looking for a kitten who is both spirited and sweet, Barnaby is the perfect match for you! Barnaby needs feline companionship. While he's open to making new friends, he would pair well with his siblings Omar, Otis, Eden, or Clara. Born in April 2024, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. Please note that the Misfit Felines policy requires that young kittens will either need a sibling to go home with or there must be another playful/young feline already in the home. Adopters will receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws). Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
