Meet Whitney, the queen of calm and serenity! This elegant lady is all about enjoying the finer things in life, like lounging in cozy spots and observing the world with her regal gaze. Whitney carries herself with grace and poise, and she knows exactly what she wants — which is a quiet home where she can rule as the queen she truly is.She’s not one for chaos and prefers a peaceful, laid-back environment where she can relax and soak in all the love and attention she deserves. While she might not be as vocal as some, her gentle purring and affectionate nature speak volumes. Whitney loves attention on her terms — a soft scratch behind the ears or a gentle cuddle is sure to win her over.Whitney may do well with other animals as long as proper, slow introductions are performed! Whitney is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and FIV/FeLV negative. If you’re looking for a dignified and calm companion who knows how to enjoy the good life, fill out an adoption application on our website! Story
Hello, my name is Jacque. I`ve been through a lot in my life, I was living on the streets for my whole kittenhood up until November of last year when I found my way to the shelter. Shelter life has been a huge change for me, I`m not very used to being around people and all of the craziness in this environment so I am quite scared. Some might say I missed my socialization window as a kitten, but I am learning to trust. New people coming to touch me makes me a bit nervous, but if I am given time I do warm up and enjoy gentle pets.I may be timid but I love to play and run around, and be up high! I would really appreciate a quiet home that I can feel safe in, and let me come to them when I want pets and attention. • Would prefer to be your only cat• Very playful when comfortable• Needs a quiet and experienced home, very shy• Does not like being picked up or heldMeet Jacque at our shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt. All adoptable cats at OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped.

Story
Say hello to this beautiful lady, Molly Mittens! She is 10 years old and has hyperthyroidism which requires medication twice a day. She can be a sweet girl who enjoys gentle pets, she just takes some time to warm up and adjust. Affection is something she quite enjoys on her own terms! Molly can get a bit overstimulated at times, so she needs a patient owner who can respect her boundaries. In her previous home she was stressed out around younger children, so a quiet home is best for her. She has never lived in a home with other cats or dogs; however, we think she would do best on her own or with low energy cats who will co-exist with her.• Would be happy as a single cat or potentially relaxed cats who she can co-exist with• Very sweet and curious• Has hyperthyroidismMeet Molly Mittens at out shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt. All adoptable cats from OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Molly Mittens, please refer to the link below. Story
Willard and Kade are a mellow bonded pair looking for a quiet place to call home. They are shy but they have so much love to give!Willard is the more outgoing of the duo, he enjoys pets and attention when he is comfortable with you! He can also be quite the playful guy at times. He is quite protective of his friend and they have a special bond together. Willard and Kade will need an owner that will be patient with them, as they take some time to adjust to new situations and people. They would do best in a quiet home without a lot of hustle and bustle. They lived with a dog previously and were quite afraid so a dog free home would be best for them.In their time here in the shelter, Kade and Willard quickly bonded with another cat named Scuttle! They are often seen snuggling together and absolutely adore each other!• Bonded to Kade and Scuttle• Needs a quiet home with no dogs• Slow to adjustMeet Willard at our shelter during public visiting hours (no appointment needed), Tues/Thurs/Fri 1-6pm or Sat 11am-3pm, or visit www.oahs.org/cat-adoption-process for more information about how to adopt. All adoptable cats from OAHS are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for feline leukemia, litterbox trained and microchipped.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Originally named Scarlett,(when he went to the vet we discovered "Scarlett" was a "Rhett" instead), was abandoned in a foreclosed house and left alone for weeks. The work crew who found him brought him to us, terrified and starving. He still understandably has trust issues with humans.  Rhett has been working on that issue, and has very positive relationships with our volunteers that he has grown up with at the shelter. He loves to pet, mostly on his tushy, but the more he trusts you the closer you can get to his head. He loves to be loved on, and the more attention you give him the more he comes around you the next time! He does startle easily if approached too quickly or if other cats begin to run or crowd around him. He likes other cats and allows his longer term friends to rub against him or even sit by his cubie but those trust issues are hard to work through sometimes for Rhett. We know in a home Rhett would be able feel safe and comfortable in no time. Again, he loves attention and does love people when they understand how he needs to be cared for.  If you feel like you might be that special person/family that Rhett has been waiting for a LONG time, please go to our website to start the process of adding this special cat to your life. Rhett is UTD on  vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.   You can find our online adoption application on our website littleorphans.org.  After your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to arrange a private Meet & Greet with this gorgeous boy.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 14, 2024, 3:08 pm
