Story
This cat has been visiting us for several years. When we moved in, we believed he was a feral. He was aggressive and mean, but also very hungry and sometimes injured. He had scabs from fleas and was terrified of humans. I spend the past 4 years loving him and training him. About 2 years in, we discovered that he had a home on the street, but in a household that wasn't a Healthy environment, and he was strictly outdoors. They recently moved and left him. We tried to keep him, but he doesn't get along with one of my cats, and ny husband doesn't understand that he can't do the same things he can do with our cats that we raised from youth. He has severe trauma response, and it has gotten so much better, but my husband got but last night, after grabbing his stomach out of the blue, without thinking, and is making me re-home him. He hasn't bitten me for 3 plus years. I follow his rules, and am slow and patient with him. I know that with the right care, he can fully heal. He is almost there

Story
Big Kitty had been coming around our yard since we moved here in 2018. We thought he was a stray, because he was very afraid and sometimes acted starved. We allowed him to "sneak" in the cat door and eat our cat's food, and eventually he warmed up to me. Eventually, we found out that he did have owners 2 houses down, but we learned that he was outdoor only, had to hunt for his food or eat the pit bulls food, and potentially was abused, based on the years it took to get him to trust humans. They moved a year or so ago and left him behind. Shortly after, he came over with a bad infection in his eye and had to have it removed. We have spent this time attempting to acclimate him to our cats, who he's known since we moved here, but they are terrified of him.whuch is sad, because i love him!My female is getting extremely anxious and depressed over him taking over her spots. I would like to find him a forever home with preferably a female who can love him and snuggle him. It's all he wants.

Story
Hi! My name is Freebie Frank. I think they named me that because someone was giving me away on Facebook. Can you believe that? I am way too cute and adorable to just be given away for free! Thankfully my foster Mom saw the post and saved me from a life of uncertainty. Now I'm in a wonderful foster home. She says I'm also a part of an amazing rescue. Woot! I can't believe I have been so lucky. I am a young fellow and have lots of growing to do. Besides being cute and adorable, I am a lover. I enjoy attention and will seek it out. I definitely enjoy a good okay session too! Mice, balls, spring toys, who doesn't love those? I know I do. I am adventurous too. I love to explore and pounce. If your life has been a little boring, I am the guy to spice it up. But don't you worry, I will add some sugar too. You will be the envy of the neighborhood with a handsome fellow like me by your side. Story
Meet Duck Feathers!Quack, quack—just kidding! I’m not a duck, I’m a cat! A super fun, super brave, super playful cat! My name is Duck Feathers, and I’m a young orange-and-white fluffball looking for my forever home.I had a rough start, but thanks to some love and care, I’m now living my best life in my foster home. And let me tell you—I’m not scared of anything! Not the vacuum cleaner, not the steam mop, and definitely not the big grumpy cat who hisses at me (nice try, buddy!). I’m an adventure cat who loves to explore, pounce, and zoom all over the place. My favorite things? Spring toys (so fun!), playing chase with other cats, and turning anything into a game. And guess what? I’ve got a purr that’s louder than a tiny tiger! The second I see you—Purr! Purr! Purr!I’m also super sweet, but I need a family that will play with me and keep me busy. If you’re looking for a fearless, fun, and snuggly little buddy, I might just be your perfect match! Adopt me, and let’s go on all the adventures together!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
