Story
HI! Thanks for noticing me! This is what my foster says about me:Peno is a sweet but independent girl. She has the typical tortitude! She loves back scratches and tail swips but is not a fan of being picked up or held. She gets along with other cats and non reactive dogs, but not totally in love with kittens though She is respectful. She has never been around children and I would only recommend teens or older in her forever home. She still startles easily but does not normally hide. She loves to talk and will let you know when it is mealtime! She will sleep in bed with you.She is totally litter box trained and eats well. Loves kitty treats! She will play with cat dancers for hours and this will be a great way to help her with confidence with her new family. In short, Peno will make a wonderfully quirky family member. She will be the best kitty!

Story
So many stories in the rescue world about cats and they all seem to have the same start all too often and too sad.  This stunning grey tabby and white boy is called Chester, he is just barely one year of age and born to a stray momma cat.  Living outdoors all his life, his momma brought him and his littermates to a family house where she hoped to be fed and to care for her litter born outside a home.  Somehow her 4 kittens survived and here is Chester to prove that miracles can happen for these lost and forgotten mommas and their babies.  Chester is now a very handsome 13 pound boy that has been invited inside a foster home and is being given the wide berth to relax and make himself at home as a pampered and well fed adult cat.  He’s still super shy and will hide a lot under the bed, but he is starting to come out for some play time and chin scratches.  In just 4 days he has made such strides and advancements to allow toys to entice him to come out several times without fear and allow his new foster mom Joyce to pet him and given him chin rubs.  He is learning to be petted and to trust this new foster mom.  He and his littermates are all grown up but very young and they are getting better with the litterbox training and are eating with a hearty appetite.  We feel that time and patience will see Chester and his siblings stay out from under a bed or in hiding more and more as they learn they are safe and have a promise of food and love every day for the rest of their life.  If you are interested in helping Chester learn daily how to receive love and be happy with being touched, then please email us and ask to foster him or adopt him.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com we are anxious to find a capable home to love him all the way. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Meet Bigsby, also known as Ms. Bigg, a pretty grey and cream tabby who is about eight or nine years old.    Bigsby is a dog in a cat's body, according to her foster's friends. She earned this reputation by coming out of the woodwork and demanding attention from them whenever they visit. Without fail, as soon as a visitor sits in her favorite chair, she assumes this is an invitation to get attention and sprawls on their chest and shoulder and purrs. When her foster worked from home, she was the Official Office Cat and was often the unintentional star of a few Zoom/Teams meetings; her foster has since RTO'd, which makes Bigsby sad. She is very affectionate and wants to be with her people.   Currently, she's living in a house with a few other cats and a couple of big dogs (coonhounds); she doesn't create issues with any of them, though she's not exactly snuggly with them, either. She would likely do just fine as a solo cat or in a household with other pets. Beyond human attention and the standard food, water and a clean litter box, she needs just one thing every day: allergy medication. She's not exactly 'special needs' or high maintenance; her allergy meds keep her healthy and happy.  She is missing most of her teeth, but that doesn't hold her back in any way; the only concession being made for that is wet pate food once a day with dry kibble available on a free-feed basis.    Bigsby is a fantastic, engaging older cat who deserves her own human to love her.  She is totally vetted and ready for her forever home.  If you think  will be the purrfect addition to your family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Bigsby is in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.)  November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Nick and Nate are a bonded pair who must be adopted TOGETHER! They are attic babies! They were found in an attic and BTKR rescued them and they’re been in their foster home ever since. They came in very spicy but are very cuddly now, and they get more adventurous every day! They love exploring their foster home and discovering what items can be used as toys. Speaking of toys, their favorite are strings! They love to eat and sleep all day long - their foster mom says “In my next life I want to come back as a cat please!” 💙NATE💙 was the spicier one for sure, but you’d never know it now! He loves to follow his brother Nick around and act like he’s tough, but he’s really not - it’s so cute! He doesn’t let you grab him often but when he does he purrs and purrs - he’s such a sweet boy. He loves ball toys and sleeping on the shoe rack. 👟 He loves Temptation lickable treats! He hates the vacuum. 🩵NICK🩵 loves all toys, but strings are his favorite! His foster mom loves how adaptable he is - he can play with his friends or alone. After a play session, he loves sleeping on the couch. He goes feral for lickable Temptations! When giving him squeeze-up lickable treats he will hold your hand so he can eat it faster! When you’re petting him, he will let you know if you stopped petting him too early by yelling at you 🤣. Like his brother, he’s not a fan of the vacuum, and he doesn’t like the broom either. They get along great with other kittens and cats, but haven’t had any exposure to kids or dogs. Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
**Buzz and Woody are bonded so they MUST be adopted TOGETHER** Woody and his brother Buzz spent their first six weeks of life living in attic insulation with zero human contact. It took a lot of time and patience to earn Woody's trust, but he's grown into a healthy, happy, playful boy and we're so proud of him! He has super soft fur and the fluffiest tail, and despite his shyness, he enjoys being petted. He has a very tiny little voice that he uses whenever he's dismayed or startled by something.  Woody is all about his food! He likes wet kitten food and dry kibble and any kind of treat, but he loves squeeze treats like Inaba Churu. He loves the ball chaser, wand toys, and the play tunnel. He likes to sleep on the cat tree and his foster mom's bed. He gets along great with the other kittens and cats and two small dogs in his foster home. Due to his somewhat shy nature, Woody would do best in a home with older kids or no kids. Woody does not like to be picked up or carried around, and he hates nail trims. His foster mom loves seeing how far he's come from the tiny, scrawny, frightened kitten he was when he first arrived in his foster home. He went from a kitten who hissed at you if you even looked at him to a happy little boy who likes to be with you! Woody is bonded to his brother Buzz and they MUST be adopted together.  Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Sienna is a medium hair, black & white female who came to the rescue as a pregnant stray.  She had 6 kittens!! WOW!  She was a fantastic momma! Even though she’s only around 2 years old, this was not her first litter - but it was her LAST! Now that her babies have been adopted, it's her turn! She is very friendly.  She can be shy at first but will open up quickly.  She is still learning to play with toys - up til now, she was too busy being a momma to be a kitten, but it’s her turn for that, too! She loves butt scritches and head rubs.  She eats Fancy Feast gravy lovers and she loves Temptation treats!  She doesn't mind other cats, as she gets along well with her foster mom's cats.  This petite little girl is ready for her furever home! Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Hello, my name is Nimbus…short for Cumulonimbus (because that’s a mouthful)! I am a sweet 3-year-old fluffy gray tabby gentleman who was living life outside until the search for an escaped kitty led to me being trapped instead. The foster who trapped me was very concerned because my right eye did not look quite right. Originally when I was neutered, the vet thought I had no second eye but after getting antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection, my caregivers realized I was born with an eye that was not fully formed. While awaiting further answers I had to get yucky eye drops which made me very grumpy! Fortunately, even though I seemed quite grumpy (like a storm cloud…is my name making more sense now?), one of my caregivers could sense I wanted love! After a few gentle pats, I knew the street life was no longer my idea of a good time and have not looked back.   Even though my eye did need to be removed, I am a perfectly happy and healthy boy. I am a bit shy of people, but I get along with other cats and dogs, though I would do just fine as an only cat. I haven’t met any children yet, but I think older kids would be less scary. I love to play with feather wands and sleep in high up places like cat towers. I also love to eat! I like dry food, wet food, and treats. My favorite treats EVER are Lil Soups and Churu. I will be sure to come running if I hear a can or politely remind you with my sweet soft meow if you happen to forget to feed me!   My foster mom absolutely loves my soft fur and my sweet nature. I don’t like to be picked up, so we are working on getting me acclimated by small, short lifts every day. If you are looking for a unique looking, sweet boy who likes to relax and soak up love then I am the cat for you! Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Chickpea was born 6/9/24 and is the only survivor of a litter of 4. He is very smart and learning how to "indoor cat" quickly. He eats great and has learned that “din-din” means food is on the way! He loves his Sheba kitten pate and Purina One kitten kibble. He has 3 modes: zoomies playtime, cuddle bug, and sleep. He loves playing with his 1 1/2 year old foster brother. They chase each other all around the house and play wrestle. He loves toys that he can bat at, tunnels, and ball mazes. He loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom and he follows her to her room when she announces bedtime. He curls up against his human to sleep at night. He loves being combed and brushed which he will need to maintain his fluffy coat and prevent matting. He tolerates getting his nails trimmed but only if he is not placed on his back. He is fully litterbox trained. He is still skittish around new noises and things, and he will run and hide if he is startled. He gets along with most of the cats in the home. The oldest wants nothing to do with him and he has learned to leave her alone. He would definitely do best in a home with another young cat or kitten to play with and learn from. We’re not sure how he is around children since he has not been exposed to any. Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯
