Story
Look into my eyes..... This girl!! Queen of the clan. Meet Rosalee/Rosie/Rose.....she'll respond to all. She's an older girl (9), so no shenanigans like those younger kitties. Rosalee is content laying around and loves head scratches and being brushed. Rosalee sweetly stares straight in your eyes while you scratch her head. If you dare walk past her without acknowledgement, you'll get a stare and a grunt. If you stop petting, she'll grunt and reach out with a tap to remind you to return to your job. Rosie doesn't jump, so she needs a step of some kind to help her get on on higher surfaces like beds and couches. If her feet comfortably reach the top of a surface, she can typically hop up or over to the surface. She's pretty slow moving UNLESS she hears the Temptations container or Delectables Lickables bag being opened. Girl can run when necessary! She's also a huge fan of catnip! Rosalee used to hiss at her foster cat brothers and sisters if they got anywhere near her-even if she was the one walking into their space. She quickly earned respect....nobody messes with Rosalee. As time has passed, she is now allowing the other cats to lay near her, and sometimes touch her. They are feeling safe enough to sniff her and even give her a few licks on her head. Rosalee has even been caught sneaking a sniff or two when they are not looking :0) Rosalee is an easy cat. She doesn't need much, just a soft place to nap, someone to lay near/on, head scratches, and treats. She doesn't get into any trouble. She's fine by herself and will learn to tolerate resident cats as long as they respect her. She has not been around the resident dogs other than hearing them bark. She doesn't seem to pay attention to their barking and would probably be fine with a dog that is not too intrusive. Rosalee has long hair and likes to bathe, so she takes medicine every other day to help prevent hairballs. She takes her medicine with no fuss at all!! This is one special girl! You really need to meet her! Almost forgot-she has the best furry feet that look like cute Ugg boots!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This cat's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. November 5, 2024, 11:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.London is a beautiful young medium hair cat with the best fluffy tail. She has the sweetest disposition and loves to play as well. She is very friendly with other cats and seems to really enjoy having cat companions to hang out with and play with. She likes to talk when you first get home, she truly loves belly rubs, and she appreciates spending quiet time with you. London loves people, other cats, and wet food. London would do best in a home with older kids and other cat friends. She can be adopted alone or with her good friend Furgison. London was found as a stray in September 2023 at a golf course. She approached some golfers crying for food and she came into the care of CVRR. She was posted as found but never claimed. Once into CVRR, London was spayed and received all her vet care. Her estimated date of birth is April 2023. London was adopted in November 2023 by a guy who already had one cat, Furgison. Furgison and London became friends very quickly. Unfortunately living circumstances changed in July 2024 and so London and Furgison both came into CVRR foster care at that time. London and Furgison get along great with the resident cats in their foster home. London's adoption fee is $75. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Furgison is a short hair gray and white tabby cat. He is usually pretty quiet and content to hang out but does get fun zoomies after dinner. He’s a very sweet boy who loves to be picked up and rubs his nose all over your face to give you kisses. He’ll also stand up on your shoulders if you let him. He also loves his nightly wet food. He’s very sweet and social. Furgison would do best in a home with older kids and other cat friends. He can be adopted alone or with his good friend London. Furgison was adopted from a local shelter in 2018. His estimated date of birth is April 2018. He lived a happy life with his person, just the two of them, until his person adopted London in November 2023. The two became fast friends. Unfortunately living circumstances changed in July 2024 and so London and Furgison both came into CVRR foster care at that time. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. &#239&#191&#188 Josie is 1-1/2 years old, plays with his foster siblings, and manages to get around just fine, despite the fact that he has only one eye, and that particular eye has limited vision. He really doesn't care if he can see perfectly or not because the rest of him works just fine!  The litter box is not an issue, and he has no trouble finding his way up and down furniture. He also tested negative for FelvFIV and is up to date on vaccines. Do you think he would fit in with your feline family? We invite you to fill out an application from our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Josie Cat’s adoption fee is sponsored by Caitlyn in honor of Jack Williams!    PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucille is still learning to trust. The difference between Lucille and feral cats outside is that Lucille is exposed to indoor sounds, and can observe from her housemates how to interact and rely on humans for food and medical care if needed. we are fortunate that we have foster homes willing to give cats like Lucille the time needed to adapt and adjust to being loved. Lucille is truly a gorgeous color, and a lovely addition to her foster home… As long as her foster mom doesn’t reach for her or get closer than 3 to 4 feet away. We’re excited about the fact that she now allows us to see her at all, rather than hiding in a corner. We can’t wait till Lucille is friendly enough to find a home! Good morning to Lucille! We are so glad this seven month old has decided it’s OK to make herself less invisible and more visible to her foster mom anyway. Looking forward to her Continue socialization and her foster home individual adoption. She is very striking! She spent two months at the shelter, hiding in the corner of her cage the best she could. She’s really enjoying the opportunity to get out and explore. Sweet Lucille is still very shy but is enjoying the time her foster mom is giving her to become adjusted to her surroundings. Where the first week was spent hiding from foster mom, now she is slinking out for a quick check on the progress of lunch, and even sneaks a peek in public of the happenings around her. We continue to give her the needed time to adjust.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
