Story
Early last year we noticed a cat wandering around our yard at night. He looked healthy and I assumed he was someone's outdoor cat. A couple of months later, he was clearly starving to death. I caught him and cared for him. He has now been living in our home with our other 2 cats, dog, and 2 young children for over a year. He is a very sweet and lovable cat with an amusing personality. We are only rehoming him because he sprays. My vet believes it's due to the stress of living with very young children. I think he would be much happier in a quieter home with lots of love and affection just for him (he definitely wants a kitty friend though!) He needs someone who will be patient with him as he works out his spraying habit. I will do whatever I can to make the transition successful, and we don't have a hard deadline. We just want what's best for both him and our family. I am happy to answer any questions! Age ~3 years

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rhona is an adorable little floof with lots of energy and personality who enjoys soft beds and lap naps. She is busy and independent by day and a cuddler by night, when she often sleeps next to her foster mom. She's highly entertaining, and she definitely needs a kitten playmate around her own age; if you don't already have one for her, she has a calico foster buddy named Zezi that she would love to be adopted with. She has lived with a very chill dog and did great.  She's a quiet girl except when playing and when it's mealtime, when she begs for the coming food with her squeaky little voice. You can see more of her story on Facebook and Instagram at the hashtag #debifostersrhona Rhona's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. October 28, 2025, 5:40 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   They say the camera adds ten pounds, but I’m pretty sure this fluff is all natural. My name is Nala, and yes, I’ve heard the rumors—I could stand to shed a few ounces. In my defense, food has always been a source of comfort, and portion control is tricky when you have such a winning stare. What I need is a kind human who can help me stay on track with the right diet and maybe encourage a little exercise. Gentle encouragement, though—I’m a lady.I’m five years old, with gorgeous dark tabby markings that I flaunt whether I’m napping, snacking, or perching dramatically on the back of an office chair. At the moment, I’m helping manage a small rescue (fine, I’m the office cat), and I take my job seriously. I specialize in back-of-chair support and am a skilled supervisor, especially when there’s keyboard activity involved. I’m always happy to offer moral support, companionship, or just a warm presence. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 18, 2025, 6:59 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   I am Cappuccino, a young girl with a coat as warm and rich as my name suggests—soft hints of caramel and dark chocolate with a white bib and white paws. I love gentle voices, soft hands, and the quiet moments when someone pets me, and I can relax completely.Other cats make me feel unsure, and the busy cat room can be overwhelming, so I’m hoping for a calm home where I can be the only feline and share all my affection with my person. I have so much love to give and am ready to curl up in a cozy spot beside you.If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 30, 2025, 7:05 am
