Story
Meet Alfie, the sweetest one-year-old boy who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body! This loveable fluff adores everyone he meets, warmed up quickly to our resident cat, and charms everyone with his gorgeous orange coat and gentle personality. Alfie is a big fan of belly rubs and loves being held like a baby when it’s Churu time. Unfortunately, Alfie’s litter box issues began after we moved into a home where a previous cat had marked its territory. Despite multiple deep cleans, what seemed to start as Alfie picking up on residual odors has now become a consistent habit, despite trying different litters, boxes, pee pads, etc. Our vet has confirmed he’s healthy, and we’re exploring anxiety treatments, but so far, nothing has fully resolved the issue. In our previous apartment, he used his litter box without a hitch, so we believe this habit is due to territorial instincts that have become hard for him to break. If you’re willing to give this sweet boy a chance, please reach out.

Story
Meet Buddy! She's a friendly indoor/outdoor cat looking for her end game. She embodies cat qualities: loyal, affectionate, loving, slow blinks and chasing toys. She is looking to be your only cat. She's a domestic medium hair tabby with a soft, shiny coat, big green eyes and a fluffy tail. Her shots and health care is up to date, records provided. She's approx 9 yrs old and weighs 10 pounds. She has lived outside where dogs chase her and there are cars close by. Rescuing her would take her out of danger. She has an eartip because she was spayed, microchipped and vaccinated initially as an outdoor community cat. What's she's looking for in an adopter: treats! Playtime with toys, having a catio / safe access to the outside, affection, brushing her, a warm home and your patience. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.

Story
Oz is a dapper little man with his draping smoky black coat, tufty ears, and a signature “one-arm hang-over” pose. Rescued with his siblings, Glinda and Elphaba, from a challenging outdoor situation, Oz quickly settled into his foster home, radiating calm confidence and affection. Full of kitten charm, Oz is just as happy romping around with his siblings as he is curling up for a cozy nap. A chorus of purrs fills the air as he and his siblings launch surprise attacks, fly across the house, cuddle, nap, and give each other baths. From boxes to bottle tops, they creatively play the day away. Oz is endlessly curious about his foster dog brother, watching his every move and always hoping he can cuddle up. This lovable boy adores being held like a baby, gives “licky” kisses, and even holds the record for the longest meow in a single breath when meal prep begins. Oz is a wonderful family kitten, full of love and ready to bring endless joy and affection to his forever home. --- As with all of our young kittens, it is required that they be adopted as a pair, with another kitten, or to a home with another cat(s). Submit an Adoption Application to be considered: https://www.tailshigh.org/home/adoption-application/ Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, we are Leon & Leona.  We were found outside trying to fend for ourselves when someone thankfully brought us to KSC.  We are sweet but a bit shy (especially Leon - he’s the orange male medium-hair kitty).  I’m Leona, the gray and white female, domestic shorthaired kitty.  The caregivers here have been so kind to us and knowing that we are shy, they go slowly, but we do enjoy getting petted and are loving the comfortable bed and yummy food.  We would like to have a quiet home with no children or dogs and a cat savvy person who will give us time to acclimate and settle in.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. November 5, 2024, 7:45 pm

Story
Mac is shy to start out, but once settled into his space he'll come out of his shell. Mac likes the company of his human. You're working? He'll join you by the office table. You're watching a movie? He will sit near you on the couch. You're doing the dishes? He'll be by your side purring so you know he is there for you. Don't be fooled though, Mac likes his own space. Mac and Cheese are brothers and a bonded pair, which means they will need to be adopted together. The two of them like to zoom around the house playing and chasing, but they also enjoy cuddling up next to one another for naps. They are both very sweet cats, and get along well with others, humans and cats alike. To learn more about how to adopt Mac, please fill out an adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LDAC/Cat) or email questions to cat.adoptions@lostdogrescue.org.
