Be sure to read my FULL BIO all the way down to my vetting and how to apply. Not all sites will show the full bio, so if needed please go to www.rockersrescue.org and click on adoptable pets to be sure you are reading all details. The animals have multiple pictures to view. (on our site click "view more" under the main photo, or scroll to the bottom to see the rest.)  We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet inside one of our adoption partners locations which are Hollywood Feed, Shreveport or in PetSmart, Shreveport.    Aussie  - Male Kitten. Whispy fur with fluffy tail. Already altered. Born day before Easter, April 19, 2025.  History: We rescued Aussie's mom "L'Oreal" from the shelter. She was a beautiful and fluffy snowshoe siamese/ ragdoll looking cat. She was sick and going to give birth soon, so we got her into foster. We had our "Shampoo" named babies. Garnier, Aussie, Tresemme, Pantene, and Suave. All kittens were adopted except Aussie, which shocked us! He's so beautiful and friendly. While he was waiting for a home, he got a tummy bug and some sniffles from some other fosters and he had to go off the adoption market for treatment. He's all better and ready to be adopted now. His mother sadly passed away due to her former neglect before coming to the shelter. She had kitty heartworms which was rare and fatal for her. (It's important to keep your kitties on regular flea/tick prevention that also protects against heartworms.)   Personality: Aussie has a 12yr old child in his home and he loves snuggling in her lap! He is definitely a lap baby. Love his attention. If you sit on the couch, he will generally be there to find your lap or lay right beside you.  He would likely adjust to a calm dog. He has finally begun cuddling by the more hyper dog thats in his home when she is resting. Does well with other cats. Pretty laid back. Likes to play with toys. He will carry some around like theyre his little babies. Loves treats. He's an awesome boy and we can't wait to see what lucky family gets to adopt him.   Medical:  Had 3 sets of kitten vaccines.  Got rabies vaccine at neuter appointment. Dewormed. Treated for tummy parasites and kitty sniffles.  On monthly flea/tick prevention. When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue donations will have already paid for it.    Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.    ADOPTION: $40 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a LOT more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.  Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!   HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2026, 12:29 pm

Meet Checkers! This sweet 6-year-old boy has been with us since June 2019—almost his whole life!   Checkers is a gentle, affectionate cat who enjoys being petted… but on his terms. He can get a little nervous, so slow and calm attention is best. Once he trusts you, he really opens up!   He also does great with other cats and would love a home with a feline friend.   &#226&#156&#133 Good with cats &#226&#156&#133 Neutered & up to date &#226&#156&#133 Sweet but shy at first   Checkers has waited so long for his forever family. Meet Oreo 🍪 This handsome 3-month-old sweetheart came to us as a stray, and while he started off a little timid, he has fully bloomed into the most loving, easygoing kitten. Oreo absolutely adores other cats and feels happiest when he has a buddy to snuggle or play with. His gentle nature and soft personality make him the perfect addition to a multi-cat home. He’s litter trained, up-to-date on vaccines, and scheduled to be neutered in January. Oreo is ready for a family who will love him as much as he’ll love them — and trust us, he has plenty of love to give. 💕 Apply today to meet your new best friend!
