Story
Meet Pepperoncini! Pepperoncini has big golden eyes and floof of a tail that make him standout! But this lovely fellow is sometimes difficult to capture in photos - as Pepperoncini is often found dashing around exploring the "cat apartment" at Animal Advocates.  He enjoys curiously checking out a new perch, chasing after a toy or hanging out with the volunteers and other cats at the rescue.   Pepperoncini came to the rescue because of the kindness and quick action of good samaritans who were doing repairs inside a building and found him abandoned in an apartment.  While his history is unknown, we do know Pepperoncini would be perfect for someone looking for a cat who strikes a balance between "kitten" energy and playfulness with a laid back, easy to love demeanor.  His birthday is approximated in June 2022. He has tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on vaccinations, treated for fleas/dewormed as well as neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting a cat, the first step is to complete an online application located at www.animaladvocates.net (under the "Adopt" menu). Thank you for considering a rescue cat from Animal Advocates!October 27, 2024, 8:17 pm

Story
Meet Pepper. Rescued from outside in Oak Hill with his mom and siblings, this sweet, shy snuggler has a charming, gentle spirit. At first, Pepper might be a bit shy, but once she warms up to you, she blossoms into a cuddly companion who adores pets and affection. One of her favorite pastimes is taking cozy naps in the window, where she can watch the birds fluttering outside, her curious eyes wide with wonder. Pepper also loves to play, enjoying lively moments before winding down for a sweet cuddle session. She must be adopted with one of her siblings or alone in a home with another young cat. Pepper is just shy of 5 months old, spayed, vaccinated, flea-treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is available at the Waterfront (Homestead) Petco Adoption Center.

Story
Meet Bucky. Rescued from the Oak Hil neighborhood with his mom and siblings, this loveable ham has a personality as big as his heart. This playful little guy loves nothing more than snuggling on a warm lap, where he happily makes biscuits under a cozy blanket. Bucky is a social butterfly, enjoying playtime with his siblings and forming delightful friendships with his foster mom's older cats. Food is Bucky's ultimate passion-he's incredibly food motivated and isn't shy about expressing his excitement at dinner time, often letting out adorable screams to ensure he gets his meal. Bucky must be adopted with one of his siblings or alone to a home with another young cat. Bucky is just shy of 5 months old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative. He is available at the Waterfront (Homestead) Petco Adoption Center.

Story
Wallaby is as sweet as they come! She's shy to start and likes to take her time getting to know new people and situations, but once she opens up to you, be ready for tons of affection. Wallaby was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects her balance and coordination but is neither progressive nor painful. While she moves a little differently to a non-CH kitty, she's adapted her own ways to enjoy her daily brushing, chasing wand toys, and cuddling up next to her human's feet. Being in the company of people she loves makes her so happy-she purrs and slow blinks non-stop. Loud noises and sudden changes make her nervous, so she would do best in a calm household. She also gets along well with other friendly cats! This cat is in foster care; please email us at info@rescueandrelax.com to arrange a meeting.
