Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Catfish! Catfish is the sweetest, most friendly kitten and he has quite the story - buckle up! He is about 7 months old and we rescued him from a shelter in North Carolina. He was in ROUGH shape when he arrived at the shelter, and thankfully we were able to quickly get him the vet care he needed. He had a badly infected back leg that he was unable to walk on. X-rays thankfully showed that it was not fractured, but he ended up needing multiple surgeries to clear out the infection. Drain tubes were surgically placed twice and our little guy also underwent a blood transfusion! We really are so thankful to our vet for the lengths they will go to save a kitten. During all of this, his head began to tilt to the side for unknown reasons, but the doctor verified that it was not painful or problematic, but he will likely always be a little crooked. We think this just adds to his charm, as he always looks like he's carefully listening and reflecting on what you are saying to him. After a long hospitalization, he was finally completely healed and ready to go to a foster home. He really is the most joyful kitten who loves everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs and kids. He loves to be held and carried around kissed on the nose. He is so affectionate! When he's not actively cuddling somebody, you can find him playing with his toys or with the other kittens, or napping on the highest perch of the cat tree. He has a dog-like personality and is the first to run to the door to greet you. He did not have an easy kitten-hood, that's for sure, but the challenges he faced seemed to make him so appreciative that he now gets the opportunity to live his best life! We are proud of you buddy! This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.
