Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Pike! This sleek gorgeous guy is about 7 months old and was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. He is just an all around fantastic kitty! He is well adjusted, friendly and outgoing. He loves meeting new people and he gets along great with all the other cats and dogs at his foster home. We think his coloring is so pretty, with such a rich black and a little bit of white on his one lip, and striking white whiskers! If you feel like playing, he will be happy to oblige - his favorite toys are the wand ones. He's very curious too and will follow you around the house, 'helping' you with whatever you set out to do. He's a really fun kitten and he'll make a wonderful addition to any home!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $200Can’t adopt? Consider donating! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Catfish! Catfish is the sweetest, most friendly kitten and he has quite the story - buckle up! He is about 7 months old and we rescued him from a shelter in North Carolina. He was in ROUGH shape when he arrived at the shelter, and thankfully we were able to quickly get him the vet care he needed. He had a badly infected back leg that he was unable to walk on. X-rays thankfully showed that it was not fractured, but he ended up needing multiple surgeries to clear out the infection. Drain tubes were surgically placed twice and our little guy also underwent a blood transfusion! We really are so thankful to our vet for the lengths they will go to save a kitten. During all of this, his head began to tilt to the side for unknown reasons, but the doctor verified that it was not painful or problematic, but he will likely always be a little crooked. We think this just adds to his charm, as he always looks like he's carefully listening and reflecting on what you are saying to him. After a long hospitalization, he was finally completely healed and ready to go to a foster home. He really is the most joyful kitten who loves everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs and kids. He loves to be held and carried around kissed on the nose. He is so affectionate! When he's not actively cuddling somebody, you can find him playing with his toys or with the other kittens, or napping on the highest perch of the cat tree. He has a dog-like personality and is the first to run to the door to greet you. He did not have an easy kitten-hood, that's for sure, but the challenges he faced seemed to make him so appreciative that he now gets the opportunity to live his best life! We are proud of you buddy!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. Story
ABOUT PAW MCCARTNEY Meet our "Dear Boy", Paw McCartney! Paw and his brother, Bing Clawsby, came to us after their owner, unfortunately, passed away. This sudden change in environment caused a lot of stress for the duo. After trying a few things to make their time here a little more pleasant, we sent them to a foster home for a more comfortable setting. Once he and his brother settled in, they were relieved to feel safe again. Paw McCartney is a bit more adventurous than his sleepy brother-- he loves to chase around a laser and make little squeaky noises while he's playing. *Paw and Bing both get along okay with other cats, but we recommend calmer kitties. We don't recommend dogs or children, as they are quite shy. If you are interested in adopting these cats, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started
