Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The Cat Shack, Inc. is in dire need of foster homes. We are currently over capacity and need more foster homes. What is involved with fostering? We cover any veterinary care that may be needed, and you provide lots of love and attention. Each day so many cats and kittens are euthanized or left to fend for themselves outside. We get dozens of calls each week asking if we can help with stray cats and kittens so there are many more out there that need to be saved. We would like to help more of these poor kitties out there but need your help. How do our cats get adopted? Many cats are adopted through the postings on our website. We have our adoption center at the PetSmart in Whitehall which houses anywhere from 4- 9 cats at a time and another adoption center at Dogtown in New Britain. Foster homes can bring the cats or kittens to adoption days or other special events to promote adoptions. If you want to foster a specific cat or kitten or if you have a preference as to what you'd like to foster, we can help you find the right foster kitty. Without your help, we won't be able to help the many kitties out there that need our help! If you are interested in fostering, please fill out an online application to adopt or call us at 610-967-9097, option 3. When filling out the application, list the cat name if there is a specific cat you would like to foster. We do screen our adopters and do a home visit to make sure our cats and kittens are getting the very best home they deserve. So you have peace of mind knowing they will be going to a great home! There is nothing more rewarding then seeing your foster cat or kitten get adopted!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Genevieve is a beautiful longhair feral Mom who was trapped behind a local pizza restaurant along with her 5 gorgeous kittens. She was taken to the vet hospital immediately to be spayed but unfortunately was discovered to already be in an advanced state of pregnancy again! She delivered a new litter of six healthy kittens in her Cat Shack foster home and all of those kittens were adopted as house cats. Genevieve is a completely feral lady who very much prefers the outdoor life style. She would like to be adopted as a barn cat along with one or more of her foster buddies, and will be happy to provide rodent control services in exchange for her room and board.Genevieve’s beautiful hair coat is extremely dense and becomes matted over time. She therefore needs to be trapped and go to the vet on an annual basis to be shaved down under sedation. Please consider adopting Genevieve only if you are willing to commit to that extra care that she needs to remain healthy and comfortable.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Thea for more information about this pet.Dsh/tabby, FVRCP booster, dewormed, FIV/FELV neg8/23/2024Peggy Sue and 3 of her housemates have lost their home through no fault of their own.  Peggy is a confident girl who is very affectionate with her humans.  Her previous owner tells us that she gets along well with some of her feline housemates, but on the other hand can be too bossy for others so she would probably be best suited for a home with other confident cats or as an only-cat.  We are told that she loves to explore and is very playful. We know that Peggy is  8-years-old because she was originally adopted from our rescue, but she's in such amazingly good shape that our veterinarian thought she was closer to 3 years old!Spayed, up to date with vaccines and felv/fiv neg/negOriginal post: 5/20/16 Up to date on FVRCP vaccine (Booster) must go to vet within the next 4 weeks for vaccination, tested Neg for FIV/FELV, and dewormed. She is 1lb 8.5oz !! (Smallest of the litter)5/11/16 Hope got her first round of deworming today, she is eating, drinking and using the litter box! Hope's tentitive availiblity is 6/4. 5/3/16- Hope has found her FOREVER HOME! 4/28/16- Hope is a total tabby. She is super friendly, cute and loves attention. She is active along with her siblings. She is just beginning to drink from a bowl! She has a cute little black dot on her nose which makes her stand out! PLEASE NOTE: 'Adoptions are restricted to a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA and young kittens must go to a home with another playful cat or to a home that already has a feline playmate- As our policy, kittens must be adopted out with another kitten if no other cats are in the home! She will be available come 6/4. She will be eating on her own, box trained, given her first round of kitten shots and also when adopting through the cat shack she will also be fixed. Since they are so young we will not fix them until at least 6 months of age, so they will have to come back to us for spay/neutering. Currently, the kittens are still nursing but they are a month old now and as a foster i'd like to start looking for their purrfect forever home! If interested, please apply!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Story
This little gal named Ripley came in when she was just 2 weeks old. The great humans that found her drove 2 and a half hours because no one had room for her. She is the sole survivor of an animal attack. Her mother and 2 siblings were attacked and killed and this smart little 2 week old found a place to hide and cry until a human found her. Ripley now is 8 weeks old (born 9.14.24) and ready for her forever home. Please email TTARescue15@gmail.com for an application or questions.
