Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Pike! This sleek gorgeous guy is about 7 months old and was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. He is just an all around fantastic kitty! He is well adjusted, friendly and outgoing. He loves meeting new people and he gets along great with all the other cats and dogs at his foster home. We think his coloring is so pretty, with such a rich black and a little bit of white on his one lip, and striking white whiskers! If you feel like playing, he will be happy to oblige - his favorite toys are the wand ones. He's very curious too and will follow you around the house, 'helping' you with whatever you set out to do. He's a really fun kitten and he'll make a wonderful addition to any home!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $200Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care!    Links to our Amazon and Chewy wishlists: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/QFBUQI1CQBCZhttps://chewygivesback.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lkBUr/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chewy.com%2Fg%2Fdelaware-pet-rescue_b88829590 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 2:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Catfish! Catfish is the sweetest, most friendly kitten and he has quite the story - buckle up! He is about 7 months old and we rescued him from a shelter in North Carolina. He was in ROUGH shape when he arrived at the shelter, and thankfully we were able to quickly get him the vet care he needed. He had a badly infected back leg that he was unable to walk on. X-rays thankfully showed that it was not fractured, but he ended up needing multiple surgeries to clear out the infection. Drain tubes were surgically placed twice and our little guy also underwent a blood transfusion! We really are so thankful to our vet for the lengths they will go to save a kitten. During all of this, his head began to tilt to the side for unknown reasons, but the doctor verified that it was not painful or problematic, but he will likely always be a little crooked. We think this just adds to his charm, as he always looks like he's carefully listening and reflecting on what you are saying to him. After a long hospitalization, he was finally completely healed and ready to go to a foster home. He really is the most joyful kitten who loves everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs and kids. He loves to be held and carried around kissed on the nose. He is so affectionate! When he's not actively cuddling somebody, you can find him playing with his toys or with the other kittens, or napping on the highest perch of the cat tree. He has a dog-like personality and is the first to run to the door to greet you. He did not have an easy kitten-hood, that's for sure, but the challenges he faced seemed to make him so appreciative that he now gets the opportunity to live his best life! We are proud of you buddy!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv. Story
Mr. Shu Shu is a super handsome and sweet boy!  He is approximately 3 years old.  He has the most beautiful brown tabby pattern coat and the most adorable fuzzy paws.  He has a bit of a "cauliflower ear," but it just makes him more adorable!! He is a mostly chill boy, who enjoys sitting by your side and getting lots of love.  He does love to play with his favorite toys with you and, when he’s worn out, to snuggle into a nice cozy blanket.  He has the cutest, sweetest meow!   Mr. Shu Shu loves other kitties, but would be fine as your one and only, getting all the love and attention too. He has not met a dog but since he loves cats so much, he would probably be fine with a canine companion.   This guy would be best in a home with no children. He will need time in a quiet place to adjust to his new surroundings, but once he is comfortable, he will be your best bud & love you forever! My. Shu Shu is FIV+, and he is currently playing with all his non-FIV+ kitty friends at his foster home with no worries at all. He would love to go home with his best bud and little shadow Lucy (FCID# 07/02/2024 - 148), if possible. Please submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt today:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/  .  Thank you!  (Foster: Chrissy L.).  &#226&#128&#139  November 12, 2024, 6:02 pm
