Story
Approx DOB: December 2023 Mystique, or Mysty for short, is a medium-haired beauty with a gentle, yet playful spirit. One day she just walked into someone’s garage and wanted petted and fed. Mysty is a lovely and happy gal who enjoys playing with springs, balls, and cat wands. She also loves watching birds and squirrels outside. Mysty likes to be around people and enjoys head scratches and petting. She startles a bit with loud noises or sudden movements, so she would likely do best in a home without small children. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. SALLY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED! This is Sally! She is a lovely blue small female kitty who was born around 6/15/2024. She is very affectionate and playful. She loves to snuggle, If you cannot find her she is likely snuggled up in a blankie, making biscuits and suckling. The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She loves other cats and dogs! She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly kitty! Her favorite spot to snuggle up is right on your chest. She is spayed, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.  The adoption fee of $300 also includes the transport to PA. Story
Marty's rescue story is quite the saga.  Marty was found outside by a neighbor to the person who used to own him.  The kitty was his wife's cat and when she passed away, he allowed Marty to become an outdoor kitty.  Being a medium hair adult, he deteriorated pretty quickly.  When he was found, he had to be taken to the Vet immediately in order to assess his health and to have him sedated to remove all his fur as it was so matted and dirty.  He was severely underweight, weak, and needed lots of TLC.  Despite being outside and in that condition, overall , his bloodwork and health is good!  He's a survivor that is for sure.   Marty has been living in a foster home with other kitties and dogs.  With the amazing support of his foster, he has gained weight, gained confidence back and is now ready to become someone's sweet boy so he can live out his life as the little prince that he is.   Marty has the best personality.  He walks around like he owns the place.  He tolerates other animals in his home and has no problem telling them that he prefers to be looked at then played with.  He has been affectionately referred to as the grumpy old man.  He really is a character.    Marty's adoption donation is 75.00 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip If you would like more information on Marty, please contact Heather at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets. .boom-extension-active{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-active *:hover{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-hovered-element{outline: 2px solid rgba(130, 170, 210, .6) !important} .boom-extension-expanded-element{background: transparent !important;border: 0 !important;float: none !important;margin-left: auto !important;margin-right: auto !important;padding-left: 0 !important;padding-right: 0 !important;position: relative !important;max-width: initial !important;min-width: initial !important;width: 100% !important;} .boom-extension-active{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-active *:hover{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-hovered-element{outline: 2px solid rgba(130, 170, 210, .6) !important} .boom-extension-expanded-element{background: transparent !important;border: 0 !important;float: none !important;margin-left: auto !important;margin-right: auto !important;padding-left: 0 !important;padding-right: 0 !important;position: relative !important;max-width: initial !important;min-width: initial !important;width: 100% !important;} .boom-extension-active{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-active *:hover{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-hovered-element{outline: 2px solid rgba(130, 170, 210, .6) !important} .boom-extension-expanded-element{background: transparent !important;border: 0 !important;float: none !important;margin-left: auto !important;margin-right: auto !important;padding-left: 0 !important;padding-right: 0 !important;position: relative !important;max-width: initial !important;min-width: initial !important;width: 100% !important;} If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please fill out the online application at https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html November 5, 2024, 7:23 pm

Story
Snowflake was my sons cat. He said he found her in a sewage drain as a kitten. He gave her to me because he didn't have time for her and she was being abused by people he was living with. She is around 4 years old we believe. My son said he did get her shots and that he did have her fixed. She has recently been attacking our other cat for no reason. Up until 3 months ago they were getting along great. Now I have to keep Snowflake separated because she won't stop being aggressive towards our other cat and my husband. She doesn't like hyper people, she doesn't like children. And I would now say she will not tolerate other pets. She is highly food motivated once she is comfortable with you and her surroundings. She likes to be in the sun and snuggled up in a blanket. She also likes routine. I believe she may have some ptsd and anxiety. Certain sounds or movements may trigger her to act out. She has never clawed furniture and had always used a litter box. She deserves a good life.

Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue QUIET AND SWEET Muffin would love to find a forever home in a quiet household that would allow her to be the only cat or with only non dominant cats. She is very timid around other cats and needs a home where she will have her own dedicated space. Touch: Muffin loves to have her pets on the ground she loves to rub up against her humans legs with her beautiful long tail. She loves her back and top of head pets and scratches she loves long strokes all the way down her tail. She has gotten a lot better with trusting to be picked up and held for a short time. Muffin likes to lead you to her favorite safe spots for her loves. Muffin does not enjoy being brushed but she will allow it while being held on one arm and brushed with the other. She also likes to be up high on a cat tree and talked to softly. Play: Muffin  is extremely playful and athletic, she needs a family that wants to play with her. She loves all kinds of toys but her favorite play is chasing and jumping with a bouncy rod, she loves feathers and bells on them. Muffin can jump very high off the ground like an athlete! She is incredibly fast and strong with her play. She loves chasing strings or laying on the floor rolling around and batting at the strings. She is obsessed with her automatic chaser toys, string wands and bouncy wands, she also loves her toy platypus! Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info.
