Story
Meet Bigsby, also known as Ms. Bigg, a pretty grey and cream tabby who is about eight or nine years old.    Bigsby is a dog in a cat's body, according to her foster's friends. She earned this reputation by coming out of the woodwork and demanding attention from them whenever they visit. Without fail, as soon as a visitor sits in her favorite chair, she assumes this is an invitation to get attention and sprawls on their chest and shoulder and purrs. When her foster worked from home, she was the Official Office Cat and was often the unintentional star of a few Zoom/Teams meetings; her foster has since RTO'd, which makes Bigsby sad. She is very affectionate and wants to be with her people.   Currently, she's living in a house with a few other cats and a couple of big dogs (coonhounds); she doesn't create issues with any of them, though she's not exactly snuggly with them, either. She would likely do just fine as a solo cat or in a household with other pets. Beyond human attention and the standard food, water and a clean litter box, she needs just one thing every day: allergy medication. She's not exactly 'special needs' or high maintenance; her allergy meds keep her healthy and happy.  She is missing most of her teeth, but that doesn't hold her back in any way; the only concession being made for that is wet pate food once a day with dry kibble available on a free-feed basis.    Bigsby is a fantastic, engaging older cat who deserves her own human to love her.  She is totally vetted and ready for her forever home.  If you think  will be the purrfect addition to your family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Bigsby is in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.)  November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Charger and Challenger: Your Gentle Giants in Need of Tender Love and Care! Are you ready to welcome a pair of adorable feline companions into your life? Look no further than Charger and Challenger, , two brothers with hearts as big as their purrs! Charger (White), is a social butterfly, always ready for a cuddle session on his terms. He loves to belly flop and get chin scratches, especially when treats are involved! Meanwhile, Challenger, has a newfound love for hopping up on the couch for some quality 'nearness' time.  These boys may get a bit nervous when approached quickly, but once they warm up to you, they'll steal your heart in no time. Picture this: a cozy evening, Charger by your side, happily accepting belly rubs as you unwind with your favorite TV show or book. And while Challenger may be a bit more reserved, he's recently discovered the joys of spending more time in proximity to his people. When it's mealtime, these boys are all in for some affectionate touches and pats – they truly appreciate the love while they eat. Despite their initial shyness, neither have shown any signs of aggression towards people or other animals. However, catching and crating them can be a bit of a challenge, so they'll need a patient and understanding owner who can help them build trust and confidence over time. Both boys have been fully vetted and microchipped and are ready to find their permanent home. Their favorite toys are laser pointers, catnip mice (especially the ones that move), and cat trees where they can be high or hide. These sweet boys thrive in a calm, stable home without the hustle and bustle of young children or excessive noise. While they're not quite lap cats yet, in the right environment, they could blossom into outgoing kitties, eager for affection and playtime. Both boys are food and resource driven, but they've shown no interest in causing mischief on countertops or with plants. Imagine the joy of watching them grow more comfortable and confident in their new home, knowing that your love and care have made all the difference in their lives.  If you're ready to open your heart and home to Charger and Challenger, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your kindness and compassion could make all the difference in their lives. Let's give them the loving forever home they deserve – they're waiting for you with open paws!    If you are interested please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :   ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Sweet Sue is a Torti adult girl who has had a wonderful resurrection from being discovered as a young barn cat to now living inside a wonderful foster home where she has all the comforts that a cat would need.  She is wonderful with other cats but not a playmate to any of the cats.  She just coexists in her more serious state of mind. What she really likes are the DOGS in the home and loves the young active boys that are typical boys.  She even lets them carry her all over the house and will  sleep right next to them under the bed covers with her head on the pillow like a little Queen!   She has exceptional house manners to have come from originally living in a barn and most probably being born there.  We are looking for a little castle for this girl and hoping that she will be treated like the royal girl that she deserves to be.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
This rescued stray came to Critter Cavalry Rescue after being taken in as a stray by a compassionate single man living in a condo in Nashville, TN .  Leo Starbuck came in as a very scared and out of sorts cat that had a lot of emotional sorting out to do.  All this boy needed was reassuring love that was consistent and some time to know what a cat loving home was like.  This handsome boy has gorgeous, gray, bengal-like markings.  He is all boy; solid muscle and all he wants to do now is sit in the lap of his foster mom and give kisses and hugs and a lot of love. He needed a place to blossom and boy has he blossomed!  He now jumps up onto his foster Mom’s lap, ready for his head and neck scratches!  Or he rolls over next to her to entice more “good boy” praise and rubs.  Once the toy wand is picked up, game on!  He can chase that wand for a solid hour!  He has recently discovered the 3-tiered plastic ball toy.  He so wants to get those balls out!  He and his 8 month old foster roommate play chase in their cat room, as they exchange friendly “chirps”.  Leo is very patient with this younger kitten.  It is so rewarding to see him thrive!  Although he may be timid at first, this one-and-a-half year old deserves his furrever home and a new loving owner.  Do you have the patience to gain Leo’s trust?  That is all he needs, a little time and patience and the rewards will be unbelievable.  Good boy, Leo! Please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
My name is Momma Maribel and I am a beautiful grey and rust colored Tabby girl that had a beautiful litter of 7 kittens in a wonderful foster home 10 weeks ago.  I am a really laidback girl that is easy going and loving.  I just kind of sit back and observe and then snuggle if you have a lap for me.  I was a stray and outside my whole life until I was discovered by a very experienced foster mom who took me in and let me have my precious babies there inside a home.  Outside is where so many moms and their kittens land with no protection.  I am very savvy about life and yet I am eager to find a home of my own.  I am just about a year old and ready for a forever family to welcome me with open arms.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you want to have an adoption form sent to adopt me.  I would be SOOOOO excited. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The Cat Shack, Inc. is in dire need of foster homes. We are currently over capacity and need more foster homes. What is involved with fostering? We cover any veterinary care that may be needed, and you provide lots of love and attention. Each day so many cats and kittens are euthanized or left to fend for themselves outside. We get dozens of calls each week asking if we can help with stray cats and kittens so there are many more out there that need to be saved. We would like to help more of these poor kitties out there but need your help. How do our cats get adopted? Many cats are adopted through the postings on our website. We have our adoption center at the PetSmart in Whitehall which houses anywhere from 4- 9 cats at a time and another adoption center at Dogtown in New Britain. Foster homes can bring the cats or kittens to adoption days or other special events to promote adoptions. If you want to foster a specific cat or kitten or if you have a preference as to what you'd like to foster, we can help you find the right foster kitty. Without your help, we won't be able to help the many kitties out there that need our help! If you are interested in fostering, please fill out an online application to adopt or call us at 610-967-9097, option 3. When filling out the application, list the cat name if there is a specific cat you would like to foster. We do screen our adopters and do a home visit to make sure our cats and kittens are getting the very best home they deserve. So you have peace of mind knowing they will be going to a great home! There is nothing more rewarding then seeing your foster cat or kitten get adopted!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA. The first step in adoption is to... Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Genevieve is a beautiful longhair feral Mom who was trapped behind a local pizza restaurant along with her 5 gorgeous kittens. She was taken to the vet hospital immediately to be spayed but unfortunately was discovered to already be in an advanced state of pregnancy again! She delivered a new litter of six healthy kittens in her Cat Shack foster home and all of those kittens were adopted as house cats. Genevieve is a completely feral lady who very much prefers the outdoor life style. She would like to be adopted as a barn cat along with one or more of her foster buddies, and will be happy to provide rodent control services in exchange for her room and board.Genevieve’s beautiful hair coat is extremely dense and becomes matted over time. She therefore needs to be trapped and go to the vet on an annual basis to be shaved down under sedation. Please consider adopting Genevieve only if you are willing to commit to that extra care that she needs to remain healthy and comfortable.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Midnight is very sweet. He came in with Taz. Midnight is black male approx 12 years old. Very friendly, sweet, lap cat! And what's better than one cat, but two!!  Taz and Midnight II are best buds and would love a home together. They are the sweetest boys!!  We would love to see them stay together, for Taz especially. He’s the shyer one and looks for Midnight.  Midnight is a bit more independent and would probably be okay on his own. ##2236740##

Story
Fluffy is a gorgeous long-haired cat. She was rescued from outside as an older kitten, likely left over from last year’s kitten season crisis. Unfortunately, without socialization as a kitten, it will take longer to socialize now. We are unable to touch her, but she does lay in bed with her foster mom. She does not hide and will stay around. We expect full socialization could take several months to a year. Fluffy and Fuzzy must be adopted together. They are bonded from being outside together and stay together in the foster home. We are looking for a patient and tolerant adopter for both who understands that they are not cuddly cats yet. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. The adoption fee is $100 per cat.
