Story
Meet Alleria, a gentle soul wrapped in kitten form. She`s a little shy, but don`t let that deter you. Behind her reserved exterior lies a heart brimming with love. Alleria enjoys the simple things in life - a soft pet, a warm lap, a quiet moment shared with a trusted friend. She`s not too fond of being picked up, but she compensates with her sweet, loving nature. Alleria might take a little time to come out of her shell, but once she does, her affectionate personality shines through. Story
Nigel: Male (neutered) Black shorthair DOB: Approx. August 24 I love to play, jump, and chase toys. I look forward to breakfast with gusto! I am curious about the other adult cats in the house, and the HUGE dog that wants to play with me, but he is a pup so he takes some getting used to! I love watching the comings and goings of my foster family, and sit and watch them. I enjoy being petted by my foster mom, who gives me snuggles, and I reward her with lots of purrs. There are two young children that want to pet me, but I am happy, right now, just playing with the toys with them. I have always used my litter box.

Story
Meet Pachirisu: A Shy, Sweet 1-Year-Old DMH Looking for Her Forever HomePachirisu is a gentle, 1-year-old Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) cat who has been waiting for her forever home since August. She was brought to the shelter as a stray by Animal Control and, unfortunately, was never claimed. As a result, Pachirisu is still adjusting to life at the shelter and tends to keep to herself, spending most of her time in a quiet, hidden spot.Currently, Pachirisu is sharing her space with another cat, and we believe she could thrive in a home with another calm, shy cat who respects her space. Given her more cautious nature, she would likely struggle to adjust to a home with dogs or young children under the age of 10. A quieter, more peaceful household would be ideal for her as she continues to settle into her new life.If you`re looking for a sweet and patient companion who just needs a little time and understanding to blossom, Pachirisu could be the perfect fit. Please consider offering her the loving home she deserves, and give her the chance to experience the comfort and security of a forever family. All animals available for adoption at HSPHE have been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered, and have been treated for internal/external parasites.Adopters will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ren`s Pets and a pet care booklet from Pet Valu with coupons worth up to $300.
