Story
Cinnamon came to the shelter on May 15 2024. He was living in a home with many other cats and they needed to downsize. Cinnamon is bonded with Nutmeg as that is what the previous owner noted. Cinnamon is a little nervous when first meeting someone but he will warm up quickly as he enjoys head scratches and cheek rubs. Come have a visit with this sweet guy, You will be glad you did.

Story
Hello! My name is Dwight!I was pretty scared of humans when I first came to the shelter. My GHS friends and foster home have really helped me learn that people are great! I am the most shy of my siblings but that just means when I warm up to you, it`s the most rewarding. I`m looking for a home that is patient and gentle and will help me continue to gain confidence in new environments and with new people.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok. No young children, as I`m best suited for a calmer environment.OTHER CATS: Yes, I would do well with a confident, easy-going cat who can help me gain confidence.DOGS: Yes, with a friendly dog.FIRST-TIME CAT OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has some cat experience.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium. If you think I would make a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

Hello! My name is Creed!I was pretty scared of humans when I first came to the shelter. My GHS friends and foster home have really helped me learn that people are great! I can certainly be bought with food. I am the first one to race over for treats and my size shows it - I`m a healthy weight but a very large, tall kitty. I`m looking for a home that is patient and gentle and will help me continue to gain confidence in new environments and with new people.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok. Story
Walker is a sweet, friendly boy with a spirit full of adventure! Though he may be a bit shy at first, don’t let that fool you, once he feels comfortable in his new home, his true personality shines through. He’s incredibly curious and loves to explore his surroundings, always keeping an eye out for new nooks and crannies to investigate. Walker is the kind of cat who will gradually warm up to you and build a trusting bond, and once he does, he’ll be your loyal, affectionate companion. If you`re looking for a sweet and inquisitive kitty who’ll grow with you and offer lots of love, Walker might just be the perfect fit. Give him the time and patience he needs to settle in, and you`ll have a lifelong friend in return!***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.

Story
MEET ZEUS! He is a big handsome, chill boy. He loves being brushed (which will be a requirement) and playing with his toys. He also likes to "hang out" and keep you company but not in a needy way. Zeus will walk in and make himself right at home! We think Zeus may have Irritable Bowel which means a special food from the vet and a lifetime commitment to that special diet, daily B12 chewable which he eats like a treat and a low dose steriod pill (1/2 pill every other day). You can do just about anything with Zeus. He loves being carried around over your shoulder, Zeus seems to be territorial with other cats so we believe he would be happier if he was the only cat in the home. He would love a cat friendly canine to play with (we sometimes think he sees himself as a dog!) .Zeus tried to play with the little dog in last foster home but she wasn't having it. We would be happy to consider a foster to adopt arrangement with Zeus as we know his future care is a bigger commitment. He's such a lovely boy. We don't think you would regret your decision once you meet him! He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had parasite prevention treatments. He is in a foster home in Mitchell, ON. If you are interested in hearing more about Zeus please complete the short online adoption inquiry and a volunteer will be in touch. https://www.felinefriends.ca/foster-and-adoption
