Story
CLEO, DMH, CALICOBORN FEBRUARY 5, 2018I am Cleo and rightfully named after the famous and last Pharaoh of Egypt, Cleopatra! I am a queen and I am truly stunning! Kneel before me and serve me, is my attitude. I mean, Egyptians did worship cats and that is such the right attitude to take!I am petite and gorgeous but not for the faint of heart. No children please as I need to be the only one that you concentrate on during my reign of your home as I need a very experienced cat owner. I can be quite grateful and allow you to pet me and love me. I do get a bit over stimulated so I may let you know that I am finished with your adoration and that you may continue with your other chores. Yes I am regal but I can love and will love the right person. So if you think you are the one, come and ask for an audience with me. Don`t keep me waiting!Location: Foster Home

Story
DANNY, F/S, DMH, TORTOISESHELLBORN MAY 5 2024Meet adorable, sweet and shy girl called Danny. She loves to play and watch birds and squirrels as they frolic for hours. This precious girl was found abandoned with her family. She would thrive in a quiet environment where she can feel safe. With plenty of love and patience she will blossom into a purrfect companion. She must be adopted with a young cat or go to a home with another young cat.Location: Petsmart Burlington Centre - 777 Guelph Line, Burlington

Story
Baja Blast is a domestic medium hair black male who is 4 months old. He is brother to Schweppes, and Crush. Baja Blast came to DRK from an outdoor colony with his siblings. We are so happy they were caught just in time before the weather began to turn super cold. These kittens are on the shy side, still adjusting to indoor sounds such as the tv, dishwasher, and vacuum. They are quite sweet and quick to purr and are adjusting to the good life quickly! They love to play with each other, but their favourite toy when not chasing one another is any ball track toys! Watching the ball spin round and round and trying to make it speed even faster is mesmerizing for these siblings. If you're looking for a pair of kittens or a single kitten as a playmate to your young cat or dog, you can't go wrong with our fizzy fizzy pop pop kittens! Baja Blast is neutered, microchipped and is vaccinated for FVRCP. He will need his rabies vaccine when age appropriate which will be the responsibility of his adopters. His adoption fee is $300 or $550 as a pair with a sibling. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Story
Laryssa is a domestic medium hair white and brown tabby female who is 3 years old. Meet Laryssa, an adult cat with a personality that's a delightful mix of sweet and goofy. She's the kind of feline friend who'll make you laugh with her funny antics, but also show you unwavering loyalty and gentle affection. Laryssa is quite the independent lady, content with her own company, but always ready to share a friendly moment with you. Her mellow nature makes her a calming presence, perfect for those seeking a relaxed companion. Adopt Laryssa, and let her bring a unique blend of sweetness, humour, and tranquility into your life. Laryssa would likely do well with other cats and dogs with a proper slow introduction. Laryssa is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. She is FIV negative and FeLV negative. Her adoption fee is $300. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Story
Hurley was surrendered to Abbey cats and thankfully so. He is approximately 9 or 10 yrs old and wasn’t in great shape. He was soon diagnosed with diabetes (now in remission) and he also had severely infected teeth which has all been taken care of. He is now starting to understand how feels to be healthier. At first, it was hard for him to trust people and he didn’t like to be touched, pet and definitely not picked up. However now he loves to have his chin, head and neck scratched and kissed, gently pet on his head and back and totally enjoys it when you talk to him. He is a little independent but an amazing guy but, don’t let him suck you into feeding him too often with his persuasive ways. He can’t jump up onto the bed or sofa so if you would like him to sleep or sit with you, he will need stairs to climb up (which he learnt within a day with treats of course). He has come a long way and is showing more affection, loyalty and charming character. He doesn’t do well with other cats, dogs and or children. He is best suited in a quiet home and will need someone who understands diabetes and take BG readings (Blood Glucose readings that will need to be taken every 3 days). Feeding should be 90% protein (wet food) 10% carbs (dry food) to keep the glucose levels down. Diabetic in remission, will need BG levels taken every 3 days.

Story
Mithras was an orphaned baby who was rescued and was placed with another litter when he was a newborn. He has grown up with mom and his littermates Hero and Astarte and although he doesn’t look like them, they are definitely his family! Mithras is an adorable and cuddly kitten. He has gorgeously thick black fur that is shiny, and the sweetest yellow eyes. He loves being touched and held, often coming up to us and settling down on our laps for some love. Mithras is usually the first to greet us at the kitten room door and eagerly waits for his meals. He likes to climb and is often found on top of the cat tree. He is incredibly playful, friendly, and perhaps his favourite thing to do is pounce on one of his siblings and wrestle! He is an all around adorable kitten! Mithras needs to be adopted with one of his littermates (Hero and Astarte) or with another kitten of a similar age. Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of six months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company.
