Story
Hello, wonderful humans! I’m Baby, an adult feline with a bit of shyness but a whole lot of love to give. I might take a little time to warm up, but once I do, you’ll discover just how sweet and affectionate I truly am. I’m a gentle soul at heart! While I’m a fan of feline friends and would be thrilled to share my space with other cats, I have been exposed to small respectful dogs, and I am ok with that — I’m perfectly content to be the king of my own castle with a canine. Once I get to know you, I’ll show you my affectionate side. I enjoy lounging in cozy spots, giving gentle purrs, and curling up beside you for some quality snuggle time. My initial shyness is just a part of my charm, and with a little patience, you’ll see how loving and loyal I can be. I’d love to meet you! Let’s build a cozy, loving home together where I can truly shine. From my foster family: Baby is a beautiful sweet cat. We have grown quite fond of him. He has become more confident over the time we`ve had him, although he hasn`t had the courage to come upstairs. He`s quite happy to have the downstairs to himself. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle on our laps when we`re watching TV. He`s extremely clean, always making sure he keeps himself groomed, a very handsome guy !

Story
Hello, I`m Tessa. Life in the shelter can be a bit overwhelming for a shy soul like me. I`m more of a quiet corner dweller, observing the world from a safe distance. I`m not the first to come forward for a pat, but that doesn`t mean I don`t crave affection. I just need a bit more time to trust. It`s hard to show my true colors here, but I promise, I have so much love to give. I just need a patient and understanding human to help me feel secure. Adopting me means giving a shy cat a chance to blossom in a loving home. As you may notice i`m considered a special paws adoption and this is because I am FIV positive. This also means my adoption fee is up to you! Come meet me at Yay for Strays Cafe starting Novemeber 21st!Some additional information about FIV for any interested adopters: An IDEXX FIV/FeLV test was performed in shelter using whole blood, and a positive FIV test result was noted. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) compromises the immune system, so routine preventive healthcare is important. Cats with FIV commonly live normal life spans so long as they do not have other pre-existing conditions, and any medical concerns are promptly addressed with a veterinarian. The primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections. FIV it is a species-specific virus that infects only felines, with no evidence it can infect or cause disease in humans. Rarely false positive tests can occur, particularly if an animal has been vaccinated against FIV. It is recommended that you follow up with your primary care veterinarian to establish a preventive healthcare plan post adoption!

Cocoa Puff is a beautiful kitty who is happiest when she is with her sister, Sting. She is shy, but friendly and likes to take lap naps on her human. She has been friendly with everyone in the home, but is feeling quite nervous here. We know it can be overwhelming here, and promised her that we will find her a home that will welcome and love both her and her sister. Come meet her at Yay for Strays Cafe starting Novemeber 21st!

Story
Hello there, I`m Juliet. Life at the shelter is quite interesting. I spend my days exploring my surroundings, chasing after imaginary mice, and napping in cozy corners. I`m known to be quite the sweetie, always ready to purr and rub against the hands of those who come to visit. I`ve made many friends here, both feline and human. But what I really long for is a home of my own. Somewhere I can stretch out in sunlit spots and share my love with a forever family. If you`re looking for a sweet, playful companion, then I`m your kitten. Adopt me, and let`s make beautiful memories together. Come meet me at PetSmart Walker starting November 19th!
