Hi there, my name is Bellestar and I am looking for a new home through PAWS-OK.  They rescued me, my mom, and my three littermates from the Bethany Shelter in April.  We all had caught upper respiratory infections there and mine was the most severe - affecting my eyes especially.  For a while we though possibly my right eye would need to be removed, but the doc, at the time I was spayed, said it was healthy, just fogged over, and suggested a steriod ointment to help it.  As of this bio, we are working on it.  The eye gives me no trouble. I love to play with my siblings and do all kitten related things. (I don't like the ointment much though!) PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

Oscar is a gentle giant. This handsome long-haired fellow may seem shy at first, but once he warms up, he`s a cuddly companion who loves nothing more than a good snuggle and a few kisses on the head. With his impressive whiskers and intelligent eyes, Oscar is sure to steal your heart. He`s a quiet and gentle soul who would thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe and loved. Oscar was pulled from a colony with Britches and they are both very bonded. They would love to stay together.

This sweet kitten is looking for a loving home. She is 3 months old, weighs 5 lbs, and loves to play. She gets along with other cats. She also loves to snuggle with her humans. She has damage in both eyes. The left is worse than the right. It doesn't affect anything but her peripheral vision

Princess is a good house cat who is litter box trained. Good with other cats and dogs. Will roam outside, but would prefer to stay in. Will cuddle and sleep a lot.

Mancha is a really good housecat but also loves roaming outside. She is fixed but not de-clawed. She sleeps a lot but will appreciate you petting her.

Missy is an extremely loving and affectionate pet. She is 4 years old, and loves to snuggle and is most happy sitting on her owner's lap. She was found as a stray kitten and has been an indoor cat since the age of 2 months. Unfortunately she does not get along with other cats at all. Due to unavoidable circumstances, we recently combined households with a sibling, and Missy is showing no signs of backing off the other cats. She gets along great with all the dogs, and all people are her favorite. She would be the perfect cat for a family with dogs or someone new to owning a cat. She is housebroken, isn't destructive, and is a pretty easygoing cat as long as other cats aren't around. If we could figure out how to make this work, we would, but at this point it's not fair to Missy or the other cats.
