Story
Oscar is a five-month-old kitten and the more reserved sibling of Gus. He is a very gentle, sensitive boy who tends to hide behind Gus when someone new enters the room. Like his brother, Oscar was very sheltered early on and just needs time to understand that he is safe. He has never shown any aggression or meanness and allows handling and being picked up without any trouble, even though it can feel a bit overwhelming for him at first. With consistency, patience, and love, Oscar has already shown how well he can adjust, and his trust continues to grow. He is a beautiful cat with a loving heart and incredible potential Adoption is $175 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Story
Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Bellatrix! This beautiful 7-year-old gray-and-white domestic medium hair kitty is as sweet as she is striking with her stunning green eyes. Bellatrix is a loving and affectionate companion, especially with her humans, though she prefers to be the only cat in the household. While Bellatrix is FIV-positive, it is not contagious to humans or other animals. It is safe for her to live with other kitties who are not FIV+. She takes Lysine daily to help support her immune system, and this medication will need to continue in her new home. Bellatrix is ready to shower you with love and would thrive in a peaceful environment where she can be your one and only feline friend. Her adoption fee is $135. Give this sweet girl the home she deserves! Many FIV-infected cats can live happily with the virus for a long time, and in some cats, the virus may never cause illness. Whether disease develops depends on several factors including the strain of FIV a cat is infected with, the cat’s immune response, and the presence or absence of other infections.&#226&#128&#175  The main aims of managing an FIV infection are to prevent further spread of infection to other cats and to maintain a good quality of life for the infected cat. General and supportive treatment includes:  Neutering all FIV-infected cats to reduce the risk of fighting and the spread of infection  Keeping FIV-positive cats indoors and keeping them away from non-infected cats. This helps prevent the spread of infection to other cats and reduces exposure of the FIV-infected cat to other infections. In stable homes where cats don’t fight, the risk of spread of infection is low Feeding good quality, commercial cat food and avoiding raw meat, eggs and unpasteurised dairy products  Maintaining routine preventive healthcare (regular flea and worm control, routine vaccinations etc.)  Veterinary health checks twice yearly. Your vet may recommend certain blood tests periodically to monitor your cat’s health  Prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment of any secondary or concurrent diseases  Paws and Prayers Cats are spay/neuter, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (positive for FIV), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible.  Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions.  Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.  This pet qualifies for the Pets for Patriots program  https://www.petsforpatriots.org/veterans/ October 10, 2025, 7:34 am

Story
Hawaii has recently been taken to Medina Petsmart, where the volunteers there are really enjoying getting to know this sweet girl. She's a bit shy at first, but she has been in a cage for 2 years, so we have been patient with her, and it didn't take long to figure out she loves belly rubs. She does gentle love bites as if she's testing people, but then seems to appreciate when the petting doesn't stop. If you have a calm, loving home and would like to adopt this special gal and watch her blossom into the best cat ever, please fill out an application today! Please read bio in its entirety prior to contacting the foster. The first step in our process  for any animal you are interested in, is to fill out an application at https://pawsandprayers.org/adoption-application. For more information not listed in the bio, please email Dee@pawsandprayers.org. She is litter box trained, FVRCP vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, combo tested and fixed.  Adoption fee is $135 This pet qualifies for the Pets for Patriots program  https://www.petsforpatriots.org/veterans/ January 12, 2026, 10:00 am

Story
2 year old Mints is currently at Medina Petsmart, and has been enjoying getting lots of love and TLC there. She's been in a cage for a bit too long, so is shy at first, but then happily accepts scratches under the chin and gentle body rubs. She really needs to get out of a cage and into a loving home. It's time. Check out her video!! She seems to want to play but probably just needs a good refresher course from a loving family.  Mints has some skin sensitivities, so she does best on a gentle formula food. She is not a fan of other cats or dogs, so she would do best as the only pet. Paws and Prayers Cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. Story
Meet: Uncle Jim Biscuit; a roughly 2 year old domestic medium-haired cat that would thrive with an experienced cat owner in a hybrid indoor/outdoor environment. He found his way to us late October 2025 and over the following weeks got a full tune up- vet exam with Leukemia/FIV testing (negative/negative) and core vaccinations, fecal sample, de-wormed, flea & tick removal, neutered, and chipped. A regular diet has allowed him to gain 2-3 lbs since transitioning indoor. Uncle Jim is EXTREMELY affectionate. He loves snuggling up with you and will cuddle for hours! Move cautiously and he will also allow you to pick him up. He loves to play and always has an appetite for treats. He will sing to you as you prepare his dinner. He is not the best climber/jumper - much more of a “ground cat” versus “tree cat”. Quite clunky. But so cute. We’ve had zero issues with him scratching our furniture. PLEASE NOTE: While he’s adjusted to our first cat very well and plays often with him, we believe uncle Jim may thrive more in a single cat home. Being an outdoor cat for however long he was, he has a strong habit of marking. This improved immensely when he was neutered but unfortunately he is still marking around our home. While it’s significantly reduced over time and the spots are small, despite our best efforts it is not something we have been successful at correcting and feel he’s missing his outside world. We also have not been successful at trimming his nails. He’s gotten better at letting us manipulate his paws but it’s a very long, slow road ahead. The vet noted he had a slight heart murmur and rated it a “2/6”. ***UNCLE JIM BISCUIT IS WITH HIS FINDERS IN WILLOWICK,OHIO. His potential adopters will be screened by someone from the rescue, after the approval process you will be put in touch with his finders to schedule a meet and greet in order to adopt. While this is a courtesy posting for the finders, any adopter will always be able to reach back out to the finders or rescue member they speak with for any help- including the return of Uncle Jim Biscuit (if unfortunately necessary). His adoption fee is $75. LINK TO ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/242326102430137
