Story
**Mounds is sponsored by Terry O'Neil**Mounds is a 14 year-old Domestic Shorthair mix who weighs 7 lbs. This distinguished old lady still has lots of love left to give. She was brought to CHA after being found as a stray by a good Samaritan. Mounds is such a sweetheart. She is super friendly with everyone she meets, and can often be found reaching her little paw out through her cat condo to try and get some extra treats or attention. Mounds is looking for a home where she can cuddle up on a cozy blanket and purr the day away. Come meet her today!

Story
Tate is an 8 year old female, inside cat. She is very sweet but also very shy and cautious. She generally keeps to herself but if she trusts you and there’s no other commotion she will come seek your attention, rubbing against you and even lying on her back so you rub her belly (see pic). Candidly the problem is that she sometimes uses the dining room for a litter box. We have another cat, male, who is the dominant personality. When Tate is stressed for some reason (other cat, we’ve been away for a couple days, visitors have been over, etc) is generally when this might happen. We love her dearly but have been unable to change this behavior and need to find her a new home as a result. Please consider giving Tate the peaceful lifestyle that will give her comfort.

Story
Noni is a sweet, independent and laid-back 2 year old cat. He loves staring in the window, playing fetch with his favorite spring toy and late night cuddles. He loves to play as he is still very young. And if there’s a fly in the house, rest assured he will be determined to catch it. I rescued him as a stray during pandemic as a friend for my dog during the days I had to work. He’s good with both dogs and cats as long as he is gradually introduced, he will adjust over time. He’s easily persuaded with food and treats. He HATES being brushed and will try to bite the brush. But he will let a groomer touch him so no worries there. He’s up to date on all of his shots. My boyfriend is allergic and the medicine he takes is starting to not work anymore. Plus since we moved from Cincinnati I had to take a lower paying job so affording him and my dog had become a bit much for us. We are looking for someone who can give the proper cat love he needs.

Story
FIV+Meet Buddy, a charming and resilient black cat with a heart full of love and a story of survival. With an estimated date of birth of March 4, 2017, Buddy came to Colony Cats around his seventh birthday after being caught in our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program in Blacklick, OH. Despite his rugged appearance, Buddy is anything but feral—he’s a gentle soul looking for a loving home. Buddy’s distinctive chewed-up ears add character to his already unique look, telling tales of his adventures on the streets. He was named “Buddy” by our volunteers because of his incredibly friendly and affectionate nature—he's the kind of cat who will follow you around, always eager to be by your side. Buddy is FIV+ and FeLV-, which might sound intimidating, but with proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a slow-acting virus that affects a cat's immune system, similar to HIV in humans. Regular vet check-ups, a nutritious diet, and keeping Buddy indoors will help him thrive. FIV is not easily transmitted and can only be spread through deep bite wounds, so Buddy can live safely with other non-aggressive cats. Buddy has been neutered and vaccinated. He’s had some teeth removed, meaning he would do best with regular dental care and a diet of soft food. He also has a heart murmur, but these conditions don’t slow him down.  Black cats often get overlooked, but we’re hoping that won’t be the case with Buddy. This mature boy was surviving but not thriving outside, so he was brought in to find a loving home. Now, he’s ready to start his search for the home of his dreams. Imagine having a loyal companion who will greet you at the door, follow you around the house, and cuddle up with you in a comfy sunbeam. Buddy is a big love bug who craves attention and affection. He’s ready to share his endless love with a family who will cherish him. Come meet Buddy during open hours at our adoption center and see for yourself why he’s the perfect addition to your family. Buddy is ready to find his forever home and fill it with love and companionship. Don’t let this wonderful cat get overlooked—Buddy is waiting to become your best friend. Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.
