Only adopters willing to keep his nails and keep him indoors will be approved. Sam does great with his litter box and scratching post and is easy to care for. Sam’s special needs include yearly dental cleaning and x-rays (he required a root canal to save a broken canine tooth - the dentist doesn’t foresee future issues), over the counter sensitive skin kibble due to sensitive skin in his mouth from past trauma, and only using metal bowls for his food and water. Sam enjoys all the attention his foster family is giving him, but would like a family of his own. He enjoys to travel (no problem going into a cat carrier). Meet Oliver! Oliver was found huddled on the side of the road with another cat (Annie). A good Samaritan stopped to help him and then called HART. When he came into the foster home he was terrified and hungry. He needed a safe quiet space to decompress and adjust to regular food and water. After a few weeks, he started to play with his foster family! Oliver was still very scared and would run if you moved too quickly but he was making progress and feeling more comfortable. We found out the quickest way to his heart is through treats! He can't get enough and will come running to you to get more! We have had him in foster care for a few months now, and there is a huge difference from when he first came to us! Oliver takes a little bit to warm up but will come out of his shell fairly quickly to get treats and to play! He loves wand toys and shoe strings best. He doesn't mind being brushed but generally takes pretty good care of his grooming needs. He will butt his head into your hand and enjoys full back scratches all the way to the tip of his amazing tail. He is pretty curious and likes to explore and see what's going on. Oliver can be vocal at times and sounds like he is asking questions while he walks around, though his meow is not super loud. Oliver does well with the resident cats and doesn't mind the resident dog either (though he is pretty calm and very good with cats). I don't believe he would do well in a home with small children since he is easily scared by sudden movements and noises. I think he will do best in a calm, quiet home where he is given time to adjust. Oliver would love a home with another friendly cat(s). He really enjoys being with other animals and learning from them. He is always rubbing his head against the resident cats and playing with the other foster kittens! Oliver is a pretty low maintenance cat and will make a great companion! Oliver is around 1-2 years old and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. HISTORY: In the summer of 2018, a small frail kitten showed up in Tulip garden asking for food, of which I eagarly gave her. She ate as if she'd not eaten for a while. I knew that she was cared for by an owner because she had a collar around her neck. Unfortunately, the collar had no name nor phone/address, so I could not locate her owner. However, I posted her picture and my contact information at all the local stores in my neiborhood, hoping to get a response, but to no avail. Finally, I fondly kept her as my own. I named her Carmelita because it is a name for girls that has its root in Hebrew. The meaning of Carmelita is “garden, orchard” and it is a variant form of Carmen or Carmel (Hebrew)..Carmelita is most definitely "rambunctious", but not in a negtive way. She is noisy (she talks a lot), active, playful (especially with other cats) and enegetic. Moreover, Carmelita enjoys playing with other cats (and loves to run up and down stairs) I hope that the new family enjoys her too.

God's Dogs Rescue plus Kitties does NOT transport any cats or kittens in or out of the state of Texas. My name is Peppa Pig and no I am not a pig. Although I was pretty round when I came into my foster home. Inside of 24 hours, I popped out 6 babies and then after a few weeks, if that wasn't enough headaches...i mean little darlings to look after, I inherited a couple more to feed and look after. Honestly, I think I was doing enough before the last 2 came along but they are all weaned now and can find therir own homes. That means I get to relax now too and find my forever home too. Let me tell you about me. I was technically a stray as I was living outside, but I was friendly so perhaps I wasn't always an outside cat. I have adapted to having air conditioning and meals on time and in bowls very well and would not like to go back to living rough in the wilds of San Antonio. I am friendly and like to rub up against you when I am hungry, thirsty, want to be petted or just for the heck of it. I like having people around and I purr, purr, purr. I am about a year and a half old, and am ready for my forever home. My adoption fee is only $100 and I am fixed, microchipped and current on all of my needed vaccinations.

We adopted Speedy about 5 years ago. He was an abandoned neighborhood teen when we found him. We started caring for him including vet well visits and shots and flea meds right away. He is an easy going guy. No fuss, prefers quiet houses, loud noise and running scares him. He is very beautiful and has a healthy fit build. He is an indoor/ outdoor cat and there is no need to maintain an indoor litter box unless that is your preference. He has been around dogs and other cats and does just fine once they meet and get used to each other.
