Story
Meet Jax, our gentle medium-haired brown tabby! When he first arrived at the shelter with four other cats, he was absolutely terrified and often tried to dart out of his kennel to escape human contact. With time and patience from our staff, Jax has begun to show signs of improvement, slowly warming up to his surroundings. While he’s still a bit shy, Jax has started to show a slight interest in affection, often accepting gentle pets when approached calmly. He’s not quite ready to seek out attention on his own, but with the right environment and a little more time, we believe he’ll continue to blossom. If you’re looking for a sweet, patient companion who needs a little extra love and understanding, Jax may be the perfect fit for you. Come meet him today and help him discover the joys of trust and friendship!

Story
Meet Beau, a handsome 2-year-old black-and-white medium-haired cat with a heart of gold. Beau came to the shelter in a feral trap, understandably scared and confused by the situation, but despite his rough start, he has never been anything but gentle. Rather than reacting with hissing or swatting, Beau immediately ran to the food bowl and began eating, a sign of his sweet and non-aggressive nature. When Beau first arrived, he had several scabs on his neck, likely the result of a past encounter with other animals, but even in the face of these challenges, he remained calm and kind. Initially, Beau wasn’t too fond of being picked up, so he was given some time to cool off and adjust to his new environment. By the next day, he was already rubbing up against the kennel door, purring for attention and welcoming gentle pets.Though Beau is still a bit wary of being handled, he’ll try to wriggle out of your arms if you pick him up, he’s made great strides in becoming more affectionate. With time and patience, Beau will continue to warm up and learn to trust his humans more. He’s a cat who’s already shown he has so much love to give; he just needs a patient and understanding home where he can feel safe and secure.Beau would make a wonderful companion in a household that can give him the time and space he needs to grow more confident. With a little love and encouragement, he’s sure to become the affectionate, loyal friend you’ve been looking for. If you’re ready to help Beau blossom into the perfect pet, he’s ready to fill your home with love and joy.

Story
Pancake is a beautiful, medium-haired gray tabby with a bit of a shy side, but don’t let that fool you, she’s got a lot of love to give once she’s comfortable! Pancake came to the shelter with her three siblings, and understandably, she was a bit scared of her new environment. At first, she would freeze in place and take in her surroundings, sometimes giving a little hiss when things felt overwhelming. She’s never been aggressive, though, and has never tried to bite, just a little cautious as she adjusts to new experiences.Pancake isn’t as outgoing as her more confident siblings, but with time, patience, and gentle care, she will grow into a sweet, affectionate kitten. She’s used to living indoors, and like all kittens, she should be kept strictly indoors where she can feel safe and secure. If you’re looking for a kitten who will need some time to open up, but who will reward you with her loving, loyal companionship as she does, Pancake could be the perfect fit. With the right environment and a little extra TLC, she’ll be your sweet, cuddly companion in no time!
