What a handsome man, that Newton! He's just adorable. All that long fur and that sweet face!! Newton is looking for a home with his best friend Lekie. They're both 7 years of age and they've always lived together. Newton is shy initially, and Lekie is shy overall, so they're looking for a quiet home with a patient owner who can give them time to adjust. Newton and Lekie might benefit from the company of an outgoing, friendly, cat-savvy cat in the home! A friendly cat can help cats like them adjust, given the right circumstances. They've lived with dogs and children before and they didn't enjoy it so they would prefer not to live with them in the future. They're looking for an adult-only home (teens would be okay too though). If you're interested in providing a home to Newton and Lekie, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet them!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Available Oct 9     We really encourage kitten adopters to adopt two kittens when adopting. Cats like buddies. If introducing a younger kitten into a household with older cats the youngster may be too playful for the older cat. Having a younger buddy to wrestle and play with is ideal. We usually also have other kittens in similar age group available for adoption. Please visit our website for more pictures of this dog and info on our adoption process and application.                             www.barkdogfarm.org Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring a pet home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the kitten to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for kittens are $250.  $100 for adult cats.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place cats will be determined by our Board of Directors. All cats will be altered when adoption is finalized, up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, FIV and FeLK negative, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Our cats are only adopted out AS INDOOR ONLY PETS!!! Please know we practice Covid-19 guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.  Only approved applicants are allowed to meet our kittens. Please email barkingdogfrm@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 1:03 pm

Story
Mike came to us as a frightened stray after a good Samaritan found him roaming the streets. At first, we weren't sure if Mike would be able to overcome his fear of people, but with time, patience, and a lot of love from his foster mom, Mike has adjusted quite well to the life of a housecat! He readily accepts gentle pats, absolutely loves playing with his toys, and even started to bond with another foster cat! Mike is looking for a quiet home with patient people who understand that it will take him a lot of time to trust. Being able to see Mike's curious, playful personality shine through is worth the wait!
