Story
***Thanks to a generous donation from Tika’s owners, all senior cat adoption fees are being sponsored through our Tika Senior Cat Adoption Promotion – including Bentley’s! Bentley is an ~ 11 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Bentley is a calm, lowkey older gentleman. He prefers his independence, can become overstimulated at times, and will quickly tell his humans when he's had enough of their non-sense. Don't let this lead you to believe that he isn't a sweet and social guy though, because he certainly is! His foster mom tells us he loves pets and cuddles but will occasionally give little "nips" as if to say "I'm done with that, please stop". His foster mom has the following to say about him: "Bentley is a gentle giant who needs a period of adjustment for adoption. He can be a little timid when facing new situations but with patience and a calm atmosphere he will adapt well. He loves to cuddle on a nice comfy lap. He likes his playtime as well. He eats well and has excellent litter box skills. He will make a great addition to a more quiet and calm household." Bentley enjoy playing with his humans also but, also is very much ok with doing his own thing. He is very playful and curious, and because of his sass-ittude we believe he should be around kids 12 years and older, and given that he spent some time at CRHS in a communal room with other cats, we believe he should do well in a home with another cat given slow and proper introductions. Bentley asks that any home he lives in does not have any dogs, and they may scare him. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
Can you believe that two beautiful kitties like Mango and me were left behind? It’s true! I’m a lovely, fluffy, medium-haired orange and white female cat called Papaya. My sweet kitten and I were found in the garage area of a rental property by the property manager after a tenant moved out and left us behind. We went to Paws and Claws, and because my baby Mango was only about 2-3 weeks old, we went to a foster home. I’m a good mother, but this “mamaya” named Papaya is ready to give up my mothering duties and be pampered! Most of the time, I was friendly and cuddly while in my foster home. I let my foster mom handle my kitten. However, I can get “snippy” at times, so I may do best in a home with older children or adults only. Christopher Columbus coined the term “papaya” when he first tasted the fruit. It means “fruit of the angels.” I hope I’ll be someone’s sweet Papaya very soon! Story
“Never do anything by halves if you want to get away with it. Be outrageous. Go the whole hog.” – “Matilda”, Roald Dahl. When you’re a kitten, you can be outrageous, at least sometimes! I’m Matilda, one of seven “M” kittens who came to Paws and Claws after our rescuer in the Twin Cities was unable to find anywhere locally that would take us. We were born to a pregnant stray, and she took us in and cared for us until we were old enough to be adopted. She’s keeping our mama, and Paws and Claws was kind enough to take all seven of us. We are three females and four males, all with beautiful, medium-length, shiny black coats. In our rescuer’s home, we had a wild time playing with rattly plastic balls and wrestling with each other. We liked eating Pure Balance Pro Kitten Formula with Chicken. Now, at the shelter, we’ve discovered toy mousies! I am a bit bashful like my siblings, but if I’m approached slowly, I like being petted. I’d probably do well with a sister, brother, or another active kitten in my home. Go whole hog – adopt merry Matilda to be your kitty girl!Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
I rock. You rock. We rock! I’m Mason, one of seven kittens who were born to a pregnant stray in the Twin Cities area. A nice woman took us in until we were old enough to find forever homes. She’s keeping our mama, but she couldn’t find anyone in her area to take any of us kittens, so Paws and Claws kindly agreed to take us in. We love playing with jingle balls, and we also have fun chasin’ and wrestlin’ together. We were eating Pure Balance Pro Kitten Formula with Chicken. At the shelter, my siblings and I have discovered the joy of playing with toy mice. We have slowly warmed up to people and are becoming more curious about our room. If approached slowly, I like being petted. I have a handsome, medium-length black, shiny coat. Come in and watch us rock and roll! For a solid choice, pick Mason to be your kitty boy!
