Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Petal is an absolute stunner of a year old kitty. She came into rescue with three-week-old kittens and was the best Mama there was. Her two babies have gone to their forever homes, and Petal is now enjoying all of her Foster Mom's attention. She was feral and a baby herself when brought into rescue but she is quickly discovering that the indoor life is pretty sweet! She is a moderate to low energy, quiet long haired female. Her coat has gray, cream and tan markings that, paired with her huge gold eyes, make her so beautiful on top of being such a good girl. She has learned to like cuddles and tries so hard to ask for pets but her past without humans catches up with her and she will hide occasionally. Petal will thrive in a patient home where she can adjust and blossom into the sweet, loving young gal she is. She is doing great with the litter boxes and is such an easy girl to love!   Petal is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 29, 2025, 1:31 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bonded to Mackenzie *This animal is located at our same-day adoption center partner, Coon Rapids PetSmart. Please contact this location prior to visiting to ensure this animal is still available. A paper adoption application will be completed on site so please do not submit an online adoption application. For more information on adopting from one of our adoption center partners, please visit our Adoption Center Animals page. Meet AJ, a 6-year-old rescue cat with a heart of gold and a lovely, laid-back personality.  He’s ready to find a home where he can settle in and show off his sweet nature. With his soft, medium-to-long fur, AJ does require regular brushing to keep his coat looking its best and avoid any matting—hence his adorable, sometimes wild hairdo! AJ is the ultimate cuddle buddy, always ready to snuggle up and relax with his favorite humans. He has a mellow demeanor and enjoys a peaceful environment, making him a perfect companion for someone looking for a gentle and affectionate pet. AJ also shares a very special bond with his kitty friend, Mackenzie . These two are inseparable—they sleep together and get upset when they’re apart, so adopting them together would make them both the happiest! If you're looking for a calm, loving cat who thrives on companionship and affection, AJ (and his sidekick Mackenzie) may just be the perfect fit for you.   AJ was an owner surrender.
