Story
I need a foster now! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help! Hi my name is Phoenix I am from Minnesota. Meet Phoenix! Phoenix is sweet and affectionate as he is beautiful! Despite having a difficult past, Phoenix has become more comfortable with us with every passing day! When he arrived, he only hid and made tiny whimpers. Now he is walking around the house, getting scratches and pets, and even sleeping at our feet! Phoenix loves head scratches, ear scratches, full body scratches - any kind of scratches! He is a super sweet boy who I think will soon become a total lap cat. He loves attention and getting affection. He has recently shown us that he also enjoys playing! He's shown the most interest in strings and laser pointers. Phoenix has never had an issue using the litter box and is food motivated - a shake of his treat bag now brings him out of hiding! He's not completely out of his shell yet... he will get spooked at sudden movements or people walking around. He's also doesn't want to be picked up yet. He still has some confidence to build but it's amazing to see his improvements and bravery every single day. We would love to see him adopted by a forever family that will provide him with the safe home he deserves to be his best self in!

Story
Hi! My name is Jacob Black and I am from Minnesota. From his foster: acob is a very playful, active kitten. He currently hangs out with his brothers Jasper and Emmett. Jacob loves to play with puff balls and chase anything that moves. He enjoys being near us when we sit down to watch tv in the evenings. Jacob is definitely on the shy side. I have been fostering him for 3 months now and he is very comfortable in the portion of the house that he has had access to, but is extremely fearful when we bring him into a new area. This just means that you will need to have a room or two for him to be comfortable in at first and then gradually open bigger areas.

Story
Hi! My name is Decibel, but people call me Dezi! I am from Minnesota. I am about 5 years old and I can't hear, so if you need a friend who's never going to give you a hard time for talking through anything you need to, that would be me! I am kind of a shy gal. I was picked on by the other cats in my home, and then my family moved in separate directions and no one could bring me with. While I may take some time to settle in and get to know you, once I do, be prepared because I LOVE to snuggle and get pets! If you have a little patience and a lotta love, I'm your gal! From her foster: Deci is a sweet shy girl. She takes a while to feel comfortable in her space and likes to have a safe hidey hole to retreat to if need be. If you are laying down she will come up to you and rub against you and meow and ask for pets. She is still very fearful of anyone standing or walking by her. I believe with time she will continue to come out of her shell as she has the past few weeks. Deci is deaf, and so she tends to be extra cautious in her environment because she is relying on one less sense than most cats. I think this lends to her shy personality. When you are laying down and not moving she feels comfortable enough o come out and ask for some pets.

Story
Hi, my name is Pua. I am from Minnesota. I am a talktative, playful, polydactyl fellow. I have lots to say and am always happy to have a conversation. I LOVE string toys and jumping in the air, but I do not discriminate and have yet to say no to any single toy. When I get tired, I snuggle up with my foster moms and purr until I fall asleep. I get along fantastically with other cats and can’t imagine a home without another high-energy cat. I have no experience with kids or dogs, but I think I could get used to them quickly. Due to the extra toes on my front paws, my adopter will need to be comfortable with regular nail trims so that my fancy toes don’t get overgrown. I’d love to meet you!

Story
Reintroducing SIMBA! This stunning nine year old boy is 99% lover and 1% cranky neighbor who doesn’t want any fellow cats playing in his “yard.” Simba came to us over a year ago after being rescued from euthanasia. He was overweight, diabetic, matted, had skin and nail infections, diabetic neuropathy, and was in desperate need of a dental. After shaving off some pounds, treating his infections, a dental visit, and some loving attention, Simba has been restored to his former glorious self and is now ready for a long-term foster home as his current foster is relocating to another state.   Simba loves being brushed head to toe, chin rubs, and attention of any kind. He responds by drooling in joy and with a roaring purr. Belly rubs? No problem here – he’ll happily present his belly (and everything else) for an extended tummy tickle or a four paw nail trim. Talk about easy – if we didn’t know any better…we’d think he had professional groomer experience. He is adorably wobbly (uncertain of cause but could be residual diabetic neuropathy) so we have added a supplement to his food to try and boost his strength. To date, his weakened back end has gotten no better or worse and does not impede his “zoomies” after a good litter box visit! Another fun fact about wobbly cats? It means Simba is the polar opposite of a counter jumper! As a matter of fact, if he needs to get on anything higher than a couch...pet stairs do the trick. He will want a set by your bed as his favorite place to sleep is with you. Simba has been in diabetic remission for over a year and has not been on any insulin. We hope to keep him that way by controlling his diet and occasional glucose monitoring.   He comes with a lifetime commitment of litter, food, meds, and all the vet care needed for the rest of life. What he needs is a soft, loving place to fall, and a pet parent who will be patient getting him settled into new surroundings. His ideal home would be a quieter one. Maybe with someone who works from home (or no longer works) who has no other pets. He’s been waiting a long time for the right home and we are committed to providing everything a new foster needs. All you need to add is love (and twice a day feedings).   Who wants to meet this boy and discuss adding him to your family? LET'S MEET! Please email s.o.s.representative@gmail.com for an application to be Simba's long-term foster. Simba is available for meet and greets with pre-approved applicants!   ADOPTION INFORMATION: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriate), Feline Leukemia/FIV tested, de-parasited & micro-chipped before being adopted out. All applicants must meet our adoptable cats in person. We do not ship any of our animals to adopters. Thank you and please contact us with any questions. November 5, 2024, 4:07 pm

Story
Tye is a delightful and affectionate cat who would thrive in any home environment, whether with children or without, and could even potentially coexist with a dog, though she has not yet had the opportunity to meet one. Playing is her specialty - she loves chasing laser pointers, balls, dangling toys, and especially boxes.   Tye is also remarkably intuitive, quickly picking up on her owner's mood. If you're feeling down, she'll come sit on your lap, as if she just knows you need the comfort. Currently, Tye has three feline friends to play with, so she is accustomed to a multi-cat household, but a single-cat home would also suit her well with ample attention. Whether you need a playful office assistant or a cuddly housemate, Tye would make a wonderful addition to your family. If you're looking for a special new pet, this charming kitty is well worth considering.   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. Antoinette is a gorgeous and sweet little tortie. This pretty girl is a little shy and needs some time to warm up, but once she does, she very much enjoys cuddle time with other kitties and people! Story
Miles is a laid back, shy guy. He is curious of the other resident animals, watching from afar and responding to toys and treats to pull him out of his shell. Once he warms up you will find he loves to climb on his cat tower and chase after toys.  If you are a trust individual, he may even bring a toy to you before curling up in your lap.   He scratches appropriately on cardboard and his sisal scratching post. And he is a litter box champion – no accidents for this lil man! After a long play session, he retreats to sleep in his cat tower or in his hammock. Due to his shy nature, it is recommended Miles be placed in home with older children. It is unknown how he would react to dogs. Story
Tallulah is an easy-going, affectionate, confident medium hair tuxedo cat, born around Feb. 2022. She meets you at the door, ankle rubs, and follows you around. She is okay being picked up, enjoys brushing and petting. Tallulah plays with running water and cat toys, plus likes window watching. She will stay in your lap for short sessions of petting but prefers to sit next to you. If kids are gentle, Tallulah should be fine. The foster home says she is active, smart, and a periodic talker at meal times. Tallulah reaches up to touch your nose and occasionally rolls over for tummy stroking. She hasn’t met dogs and is a bit on the dominant side with cats. She has fine litter box habits and uses a scratching post. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. For further information or to start the adoption process, leave a message at 612 202-9492 or email cattalesmn@outlook.com If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). ~*~*~* Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cattalesmn *~*~*~*~*

Story
This lovely white and black tuxedo female, born, Oct. 2021, was found left at a farm and was pregnant. Vera enjoys sitting right next to you while you watch TV, but does not like to be held or picked up at this stage. Vera enjoys playing with balls by herself and with interactive toys with you, plus window watching for wildlife. She is a chatter box, has a medium purr, and likes a little brushing. Vera is friendly with known folks, hasn’t met strangers or dogs, and doesn’t like girl cats. After a few stokes of petting, she periodically swats your hand away. Vera is best with kids over 8. She has spot-on litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom in a new setting and you be rewarded with a special relationship with her?
