Story
Meet Georgia and Ginny! This mother and daughter duo had a rough start to life but are ready to finally have a safe space of their own. Despite her young age, Ginny had to grow up fast when she became a young mom. She never got to be a carefree kitten herself, as she was busy taking care of her little ones. Sadly, all but one of her kittens passed away, but she and her remaining kitten, Georgia, who is now 3 months old have been inseparable ever since! Georgia is her happiest when she’s with her mom or playing with her favorite toys. This little girl is full of life and energy and is sure to add some entertainment to someone’s home. With some patience and gentle lovin’, this girl should come out of her shell in no-time. Ginny is a bit more reserved and is taking a bit longer to open up to people. She would do best in a quiet, low traffic kinda home where she would have plenty of quiet time to adjust. We also recommend a home either without children, or kids who are 12+ because of her need for space and patience. If you have room in your heart and home for this tight-knit pair, consider filling out an application for them here and watching them blossom together in their brand new life! capeannanimalaid.org/catapp

Story
Tippy and his brothers were surrendered from a home after an unplanned pregnancy.  They are confident, playful & loving. Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. October 21, 2024, 12:36 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bella: I have the potential to be an easy-going, gentle cat once I warm up to my people. I will need a VERY patient cat-savvy adopter who can read cat-body language and give me time to blossom into my true personality.I should start in a large crate at first, then graduate to a small room and then gradually be given more access to the house as I start to get comfortable in my surroundings. My adopter needs to understand that it is unknown how long it will take me to adapt (possibly weeks to months) and I might never become a super social cat, but more of a roommate.I will need a low-traffic, quiet home. See notes below about having a cat friend. I would be ideal for a gentle, quiet adopter looking to help out a cat, but one that has low expectations for who that cat is and what might become.Compatibility:Dogs: No history - possibly with a mellow, cat-savvy dogCats: YES! Ideally I should go to a home with a confident feline friend that I can bond with and help to show me the ropes. I am most likely going to be a `cat`s cat` vs a `people`s cat`Kids: Older - quiet, cat-savvyHandouts that will be provided:Preparing Your Home for a New Cat, Cat Body Language, Body Language of Feline Anxiety, Litter box Mastery, Litter box Reintroduction
