Story
Mystic and her sister Panda came to us when their owner was evicted and could no longer care for them. We could not fit all of the cats that were in their original home, but the others were taken in by a larger rescue. We were happy to help these lovely girls, and pledged to keep them together as they are very fond of one another. Mystic is as sweet as she is lovely, and is happy to meet new people and new cats. We also suspect she'd do fine with friendly dogs, and her sister has already proven herself to be very curious about canine friends. Mystic came to us suffering from ear infections- she does not enjoy her ear meds but she is not aggressive in the slightest and is doing well with treatment. She and Panda are otherwise healthy and are now fully vetted and ready for adoption!October 28, 2024, 10:44 am

Story
Jake is a friendly, outgoing 3-yr.-old Tuxedo boy. He loves being around people and is always quick greet new friends. Whether he's playing fetch with you, snuggling up on your lap, or just napping nearby, Jake loves hanging out with his humans. He can also be content playing on his own or snoozing when people are busy or out of the house. He is good with kids and has never been aggressive. Jake is an only pet, but was socialized with cats and dogs as a kitten. He is an indoor cat. He is patient with grooming and nail trims. He is in good health, is neutered, and has his shots. Jake is litter-trained and generally good about using the litter box. He will use scratching posts and pads, especially if you encourage him with some catnip! Jake is a very sweet, friendly boy, but due to developing cat allergies and changes in our family, we are looking for a new home for him where he can get the love and attention he deserves. Let us know if you want to add Jake to your family!

Story
Marty's rescue story is quite the saga.  Marty was found outside by a neighbor to the person who used to own him.  The kitty was his wife's cat and when she passed away, he allowed Marty to become an outdoor kitty.  Being a medium hair adult, he deteriorated pretty quickly.  When he was found, he had to be taken to the Vet immediately in order to assess his health and to have him sedated to remove all his fur as it was so matted and dirty.  He was severely underweight, weak, and needed lots of TLC.  Despite being outside and in that condition, overall , his bloodwork and health is good!  He's a survivor that is for sure.   Marty has been living in a foster home with other kitties and dogs.  With the amazing support of his foster, he has gained weight, gained confidence back and is now ready to become someone's sweet boy so he can live out his life as the little prince that he is.   Marty has the best personality.  He walks around like he owns the place.  He tolerates other animals in his home and has no problem telling them that he prefers to be looked at then played with.  He has been affectionately referred to as the grumpy old man.  He really is a character.    Marty's adoption donation is 75.00 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip If you would like more information on Marty, please contact Heather at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets. .boom-extension-active{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-active *:hover{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-hovered-element{outline: 2px solid rgba(130, 170, 210, .6) !important} .boom-extension-expanded-element{background: transparent !important;border: 0 !important;float: none !important;margin-left: auto !important;margin-right: auto !important;padding-left: 0 !important;padding-right: 0 !important;position: relative !important;max-width: initial !important;min-width: initial !important;width: 100% !important;} .boom-extension-active{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-active *:hover{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-hovered-element{outline: 2px solid rgba(130, 170, 210, .6) !important} .boom-extension-expanded-element{background: transparent !important;border: 0 !important;float: none !important;margin-left: auto !important;margin-right: auto !important;padding-left: 0 !important;padding-right: 0 !important;position: relative !important;max-width: initial !important;min-width: initial !important;width: 100% !important;} .boom-extension-active{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-active *:hover{cursor: crosshair !important} .boom-extension-hovered-element{outline: 2px solid rgba(130, 170, 210, .6) !important} .boom-extension-expanded-element{background: transparent !important;border: 0 !important;float: none !important;margin-left: auto !important;margin-right: auto !important;padding-left: 0 !important;padding-right: 0 !important;position: relative !important;max-width: initial !important;min-width: initial !important;width: 100% !important;} If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please fill out the online application at https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html November 5, 2024, 7:23 pm

Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue QUIET AND SWEET Muffin would love to find a forever home in a quiet household that would allow her to be the only cat or with only non dominant cats. She is very timid around other cats and needs a home where she will have her own dedicated space. Touch: Muffin loves to have her pets on the ground she loves to rub up against her humans legs with her beautiful long tail. She loves her back and top of head pets and scratches she loves long strokes all the way down her tail. She has gotten a lot better with trusting to be picked up and held for a short time. Muffin likes to lead you to her favorite safe spots for her loves. Muffin does not enjoy being brushed but she will allow it while being held on one arm and brushed with the other. She also likes to be up high on a cat tree and talked to softly. Play: Muffin  is extremely playful and athletic, she needs a family that wants to play with her. She loves all kinds of toys but her favorite play is chasing and jumping with a bouncy rod, she loves feathers and bells on them. Muffin can jump very high off the ground like an athlete! She is incredibly fast and strong with her play. She loves chasing strings or laying on the floor rolling around and batting at the strings. She is obsessed with her automatic chaser toys, string wands and bouncy wands, she also loves her toy platypus! Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue NERVOUS BUT SWEET Meow! My name is Petal. My estimated date of birth is 5/11/2024. I am new to the rescue and am adjusting to shelter life. I am a bit timid and skittish here. I am still getting used to my new environment and new people. I am a pretty girl with very soft fur. I would do best in a quiet home with no young children or dogs. I would be okay in a home with other cats. The volunteers are still getting to know me, but I am sure to blossom in a home of my own. I am at kitty corner, ready to meet youMeet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted.
