Story
I`m in a Foster Home! To meet me, email my foster parent at mkoch.fosterparent@gmail.com.Mya is a sweet playful girl. She’s been through it and still seems to a have a positive disposition. While she isn’t a cuddly cat, she loves to ask for pets and scratches, and she loves to make little noises. She is social with new people and loves to get them to play with her. She’s a gorgeous, goofy girl and she will bring anyone joy. Potential adopters can contact me at Mkoch.fosterparent@gmail.com

Story
Female, approx 5 year old. DMH Orange Sweet Mango is new to the rescue and we can't wait to find out more about her! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This pretty tuxedo girl is looking for her purr-fect adopter. Starlight is initially quite shy but with time and patience she really warms up and loves to be pet and cuddled. She's got the cutest little underbite with one crazy fang that sticks out and an ear that is slightly scrunched up. Starlight would do best in a quiet home with other friendly cats. She may do ok with a pup that doesn't bark much but loud noise is intimidating to her. Starlight is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, negative for FelV/FIV, and ready to find her fur-ever home today. If you are viewing this bio on Petfinder, please go to www.frecklesfoundation.org to view photos. The adoption fee for this cat is $175. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.
