Meet sweet, precious Amanda! Amanda is the snuggliest 7 year old cat to ever exist! She is a beautiful 7 pound tabby with a calm, loving, and gentle spirit. Amanda loves humans and her favorite activity is to sit in your lap. When she is especially happy and comfortable she will face plant onto you. She loves to explore behind doors and has great litter box manners!  Amanda's vet agreed that she has a big heart both figuratively and literally and she is doing great on her blood pressure medication.  She does have kidney disease and her special veterinary diet is keeping things nice and stable!   Amanda is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.   Interested in adopting? Story
Pacino-at-a-glance: 8 year old, male, neutered, DSH, 12-13 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped, FeLV /FIV negative.    Meet Pacino, your new best friend and the BEST guy around! Pacino LOVES attention! B etter yet, he loves being the center of attention, especially if chin scratches are included! This handsome guy has comes with his own personal tuxedo made of silky black and white fur. You’d think he was sponsored by Pantene (because he IS worth it!), but don’t let that fool you, he can play hard. Pacino is super playful and enjoys a variety of toys including wands, catnip toys, and toys that make crinkle noises...probably because he correlates that with his human opening a bag of chips! When we said he was the best boy, we really mean, the BEST boy. He’s like a little shadow, loves to curl up and cuddle and follow you around. This cuddler is currently on anxiety medication as he can be frightful of loud sudden noises but it’s extremely easy to manage and the smallest extra step to his preferred food, Hills C/D food. Adopt this handsome and well behaved boy and he may reward you with a kiss or two (he will anyway). Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here!   November 6, 2024, 6:04 am

Story
Name: Cranberry Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 5.5 months old (as of 9/14/24) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix - Brown Tabby Weight: About 5-6 pounds (as of 9/14/24) Good With: People, dogs, and other cats and kittens! He lives in a foster home with other kittens and a dog. Story: Cranberry is an adorable Domestic Short Hair Mix kitten, who came to us from a shelter in North Carolina with his siblings. We are just not sure how they ended up in there, but we are so happy to have them with us now in a foster home! Cranberry is a happy and sweet young kitten. He spends his days playing with his foster family and chasing all the fun toys they have. When he’s done it’s nap time or cuddling with his humans! What my foster says: Cranberry is an adorable brown tabby boy.  He is a typical kitten for his age, active, very friendly, and likes to be around his people.  He loves playing with his brother Strawberry, but is very good at playing with his toys by himself as well.  When he's done he likes to cuddle up around you but will also find other fun locations to take a snooze.  Are you the one he is next to snooze with? The fee to adopt Cranberry is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers the cost of vaccines appropriate for his age, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. Cranberry has been seen by a local vet and has been diagnosed with Addison’s, but it is easily under control with inexpensive medicine. Are you ready to give Cranberry the love and attention he deserves? If so, apply today! November 3, 2024, 3:56 pm

Story
SADIE Female, spayed 9 years old Domestic Medium Hair Up-to-date on core vaccines, FeLV /FIV negative & microchipped Litter box trained Not good with other cats; untested with dogs or small children   Sadly, Sadie's human passed away and she was surrendered to a local shelter. In her grief, confusion and dislike of other cats, she was labeled as aggressive. After six long months waiting at the shelter, she was pulled by Lovepaws and placed in a loving foster home. Even when her foster mom slipped her into her carrier, she never displayed any aggression. She voiced her concerns with meows and cries but kept her paws to herself. Sadie takes good care of her humans but also enjoys her own company. She promoted herself to supervisor in her foster dad's home office. His work bores her so she stays away from his desk. She purrs contentedly when she sits with her foster parents on the couch -- gently reminding her foster dad to pet her and crawling into her foster mom's lap for some female bonding. She rolls over to show off her beautiful belly and looks remarkably human when she sleeps on her side. Her chonkiness makes it hard to be stealthy, but she manages stairs with some grace and leaps onto beds and couches. Sadie's litterbox and scratching manners are top-notch! She's gets scared when people pick her up or try to turn her into a purrito but always keeps her paws to herself. Sadie is living her best life when can gaze out the window, take a nap on something cozy and square-shaped, and have some time to herself while being close to her humans for a good chunk of time. Her favorite game is watching a wand toy go back and forth. When she feels like it, she'll grab it and hold on for dear life. Her favorite wet meal is seafood and she savors it to make it last longer. At the end of the day, she enjoys watching TV with her humans until they disappear for the night. Interested in adopting? Of course, you are! Submit an application here! November 6, 2024, 6:04 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This pretty tuxedo girl is looking for her purr-fect adopter. Starlight is initially quite shy but with time and patience she really warms up and loves to be pet and cuddled. She's got the cutest little underbite with one crazy fang that sticks out and an ear that is slightly scrunched up. Starlight would do best in a quiet home with other friendly cats. She may do ok with a pup that doesn't bark much but loud noise is intimidating to her. Starlight is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, negative for FelV/FIV, and ready to find her fur-ever home today. If you are viewing this bio on Petfinder, please go to www.frecklesfoundation.org to view photos. The adoption fee for this cat is $175. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.
