CJ 8-10 years old Neutered male CJ came from animal control, where he was surrendered. He wasn’t in the best of shape… Covered in fleas, very skinny and terrible teeth. Surprisingly, his lab work was all fine! He had a dental done and he has about 4 teeth remaining now. After that, the poor guy got an upper respiratory infection, which made it even harder to gain weight. Finally, I think we’re on the right track! We have found food types that he likes. He is eating kitten food for some extra calories too. CJ is a very chill and calm cat. He sleeps most of the day. He doesn’t mind other cats as long as they’re relatively calm too. (He probably doesn’t want to be around young playful kittens). CJ is a sweet older gentleman and he deserves to live his remaining years in peace and comfort. He has no major health problems and no daily meds. He just needs someone to let him be and watch his food intake to make sure he keeps weight on. Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on the first 3 Saturdays of each month between 10 am - 3 pm and by appointment.    Texarkana Animal League is a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible.    Ms. Kitty was found by one of our volunteers at her mother in law's house with her tiny litter of kittens. We received her after she was spayed and vetted, and her babies went to one of our fosters. She is now looking for her furever home. Ms. Kitty is a beautiful Tortie with gorgeous markings. She is very shy but also very sweet with no aggression issues. She just needs a calm loving person to take her in and show her that people can be loving and kind.
