Story
Sunflower (most commonly known as "Sunny" by her foster family) was found on UL Lafayette's campus. We believe that she may have been abandoned there because she was very sweet to all of the students that stopped by to say hi to her, and she kept trying to run inside the buildings. One of our volunteers called us to report the situation and we immediately got her scooped up and put into a foster home. Sunny is a super loving cat. Her favorite things to do are to sit on the windowsill and watch all that's going on outside in the neighborhood and sleep her in foster dad's lap while he works on his computer. She can be pretty vocal and will have full "conversations" with her foster parents - especially around dinner time. Sunny absolutely adores people, but unfortunately isn't the biggest fan of other animals. She would do best in a home without dogs or other cats. Ultimately, all Sunny wants is a family that will spoil her rotten and treat her like the princess that she is. A major fact to note is that Sunny does have a history of seizures. She has had two that we know of, the first occurred soon after she was taken into our organization during a routine check up with the vet. The second seizure happened in a previous adopter's home after she woke up from a nap. The previous adopters were aware of her medical history, but ended up deciding to return her back to Wild Cat Foundation because they realized that they would not be able to financially care for Sunny long-term. As of right now, Sunny is happy and healthy. She is not currently taking any medications for the seizures because we are unsure of what the root of the problem is. We have ran multiple tests to try to determine the cause (such as FeLV/FIV and toxoplasmosis), but everything has come up negative. Our leading guess is that she has an allergy/sensitivity to essential oils that were used in the diffusers at both locations, but we cannot confirm this. Any potential adopters will have to be able to commit to Sunny's medical needs and work with their personal vet to find a solution to this issue if it continues. Additionally, Sunny has some special grooming needs. She has beautiful long fur, but is honestly a bit lazy about grooming herself. She will need to be brushed regularly to keep her fur free of tangles. She's scheduled to get a lion-cut soon as the weather is warming up, so we'll see how that goes. Even though Sunny has a few quirks and special needs, she is most definitely worth the trouble. She is so sweet, loving, affectionate, and just an absolute joy to have around. Please consider giving her a home! *** If you'd like to make this pet part of your family, please fill out an online application today: https://form.jotform.com/211746872887169 *** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would you like to help us with the financial cost of the pets in our care? Story
This is Neo, she is 3 years old and is the sweetest most cuddly cat I have ever met. She is from a rescued stray, from a litter of 6. She is unlike other cats, she will go up to your mouth and kiss you, she will climb up on your chest and rub all over your face, she follows you everywhere, and she loves to talk. If you show her love it will not go unheard, she will reciprocate it to you in her utmost gratitude. Now she does like to bite feet if you ignore her at your side. Getting to know her will take time and space, she is a very anxious cat and will be on edge around strangers. She has had some skin issues so she is wary of where you pet her. She is very skittish, as the kittens in our house grew up they became very territorial and the cats became distant and angry with each other. We also cannot afford the amount of cats that we own as our income has cut recently. She needs a patient, loving owner who is willing to accept all her flaws and love.

This dude came right up to me at mellow mushroom and was desperate for cuddles and food. The two things I've found are his favorite. Very playful and sweet. Warmed up to puppy in less than a week. This boy also has some claws, so he will want a scratch post.

Story
ISO no other pet forever home for 4yo black cat located in Zachary She is fixed and vaccinated she is very sweet and loving to humans. However she does not do well with other animals especially female cats. She would flourish in a home where someone(s) can respect her space and only give her lovies when she wants and does not over pet her. She is typically aloof but is obsessed with TV monitors and computer monitors so you would need to have these items mounted. I think an ideal match would be a quiet household with a single person or couple that does not desire other pets and if children they be older children who can respect her autonomy. She LOVES playing with her wand toy, she also is a medium haired cat and will need someone who can brush her daily to prevent her getting hairballs If you think you may be a match please message as I will have a series of questions.
