We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. Hi! I’m Spartacus. I came to LOHS in early June after being found by a resident on top of their car engine.I’ll be honest. I was very scared and shy when I got here. Being finally indoors and around people that cared so much about me was all so new. But when I realized I could sleep soundly and not be thirsty and hungry, it didn’t take long for me to trust the staff and volunteers and the other kittens in my room.I love playing, eating and sleeping with all my new feline friends. I would love to find my special someone and forever home!The shelter is open Tuesday - Saturday from 11:00AM - 3:00PM or you can call and make an appointment for a meet ‘n greet.
