Story

Jimmy's mom was a stray that had her little family outside. A sweet lady found them and provided help and once Jimmy was old enough he came to the shelter to find his forever home. He has been very shy from the start but has made many new friends with the other cats. Jimmy hangs out on what we call the "shy tree" over looking the dog play yard, so plenty to watch. Volunteers are able to pet him and give him love if they can find him in the "right location" ~ not able to run; plus we have to go slow with him. He seems to enjoy being petted and hopefully someone will give him the time he needs to want to be petted all the time. Jimmy loves treats and it's so fun when we see him coming around a corner to see what is happening in the main area. Reba was rescued from a colony of nine cats in a downtown property. She is just around a year old. She is incredibly smart. She loves to play and talk.....and talk....and talk. She doesn't whine, but calls for me and then comes running to find me. She loves to be in the same room with me. She will answer when I talk to her! When I'm on the phone, she talks to me b/c she thinks I'm talking to her! She loves my bed and sleeps with me with her paw on my arm. She will also groom me and lick my hand. She loves Yogurt! I have a Chiweenee and they love to play together. The reason I can't keep her is b/c I have a 14 yr old Calico that is very stressed out and wants nothing to do with Reba. She has no desire to play - Reba does not need a home to become a "pet". She needs and wants to be a member of a family.
