Story
My name is Ramy! I’m 6 years old and absolutely love being around people. I love to talk to you and cuddle at night. We can either cuddle next to each other or I’ll just sleep by your feet. Not only do I love people, but I have fun with other animals too. I may need a few hours to get to know them but then we are going to have fun playing with each other. My mom loves me dearly but she is absolutely heartbroken that she is unable to bring me with to where she is moving. She really wants to find me a warm, loving home with people who want to hangout with me. She wishes she could have given me that herself but there have been some heartbreaking, unexpected changes in our journey together. Maybe I can join your family? Let me know! I’m excited to get to know you!

Story
So many stories in the rescue world about cats and they all seem to have the same start all too often and too sad.  This stunning grey tabby and white boy is called Chester, he is just barely one year of age and born to a stray momma cat.  Living outdoors all his life, his momma brought him and his littermates to a family house where she hoped to be fed and to care for her litter born outside a home.  Somehow her 4 kittens survived and here is Chester to prove that miracles can happen for these lost and forgotten mommas and their babies.  Chester is now a very handsome 13 pound boy that has been invited inside a foster home and is being given the wide berth to relax and make himself at home as a pampered and well fed adult cat.  He’s still super shy and will hide a lot under the bed, but he is starting to come out for some play time and chin scratches.  In just 4 days he has made such strides and advancements to allow toys to entice him to come out several times without fear and allow his new foster mom Joyce to pet him and given him chin rubs.  He is learning to be petted and to trust this new foster mom.  He and his littermates are all grown up but very young and they are getting better with the litterbox training and are eating with a hearty appetite.  We feel that time and patience will see Chester and his siblings stay out from under a bed or in hiding more and more as they learn they are safe and have a promise of food and love every day for the rest of their life.  If you are interested in helping Chester learn daily how to receive love and be happy with being touched, then please email us and ask to foster him or adopt him.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com we are anxious to find a capable home to love him all the way. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Bigsby, also known as Ms. Bigg, a pretty grey and cream tabby who is about eight or nine years old.    Bigsby is a dog in a cat's body, according to her foster's friends. She earned this reputation by coming out of the woodwork and demanding attention from them whenever they visit. Without fail, as soon as a visitor sits in her favorite chair, she assumes this is an invitation to get attention and sprawls on their chest and shoulder and purrs. When her foster worked from home, she was the Official Office Cat and was often the unintentional star of a few Zoom/Teams meetings; her foster has since RTO'd, which makes Bigsby sad. She is very affectionate and wants to be with her people.   Currently, she's living in a house with a few other cats and a couple of big dogs (coonhounds); she doesn't create issues with any of them, though she's not exactly snuggly with them, either. She would likely do just fine as a solo cat or in a household with other pets. Beyond human attention and the standard food, water and a clean litter box, she needs just one thing every day: allergy medication. She's not exactly 'special needs' or high maintenance; her allergy meds keep her healthy and happy.  She is missing most of her teeth, but that doesn't hold her back in any way; the only concession being made for that is wet pate food once a day with dry kibble available on a free-feed basis.    Bigsby is a fantastic, engaging older cat who deserves her own human to love her.  She is totally vetted and ready for her forever home.  If you think  will be the purrfect addition to your family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Bigsby is in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.)  November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Meet Charger and Challenger: Your Gentle Giants in Need of Tender Love and Care! Are you ready to welcome a pair of adorable feline companions into your life? Look no further than Charger and Challenger, , two brothers with hearts as big as their purrs! Charger (White), is a social butterfly, always ready for a cuddle session on his terms. He loves to belly flop and get chin scratches, especially when treats are involved! Meanwhile, Challenger, has a newfound love for hopping up on the couch for some quality 'nearness' time.  These boys may get a bit nervous when approached quickly, but once they warm up to you, they'll steal your heart in no time. Picture this: a cozy evening, Charger by your side, happily accepting belly rubs as you unwind with your favorite TV show or book. And while Challenger may be a bit more reserved, he's recently discovered the joys of spending more time in proximity to his people. When it's mealtime, these boys are all in for some affectionate touches and pats – they truly appreciate the love while they eat. Despite their initial shyness, neither have shown any signs of aggression towards people or other animals. However, catching and crating them can be a bit of a challenge, so they'll need a patient and understanding owner who can help them build trust and confidence over time. Both boys have been fully vetted and microchipped and are ready to find their permanent home. Their favorite toys are laser pointers, catnip mice (especially the ones that move), and cat trees where they can be high or hide. These sweet boys thrive in a calm, stable home without the hustle and bustle of young children or excessive noise. While they're not quite lap cats yet, in the right environment, they could blossom into outgoing kitties, eager for affection and playtime. Both boys are food and resource driven, but they've shown no interest in causing mischief on countertops or with plants. Imagine the joy of watching them grow more comfortable and confident in their new home, knowing that your love and care have made all the difference in their lives.  If you're ready to open your heart and home to Charger and Challenger, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your kindness and compassion could make all the difference in their lives. Let's give them the loving forever home they deserve – they're waiting for you with open paws!    If you are interested please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :   ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Meet Nancy my grandmother's best friend. These pictures were when she was a kitten back in 2015, so she is an old lady herself. She is also never been outside of this house nor interacted with anyone aside from my grandmother, which has essentially turned her feral. I am not able to take care of her due to my severe allergies and lack of a stable home. I cannot guarantee that she will be an easy cat to love but I know for sure she definitely loved my grandmother.

Story
JJ's world was turned upside down when his previous owner had to surrender him due to housing restrictions, but this resilient little guy is ready to start a new chapter. At just 11–12 months old and weighing 8 pounds, JJ is a young, spirited cat who has already begun settling into his Arlington, VA foster home. JJ is a playful and talkative kitty with a big personality. He loves following his foster mom around the house, lounging next to her, and getting head scratches. He’s even started sharing her bed at night. He adores interactive play—he’ll bring his favorite spring toys upstairs for you to toss—and keeps himself entertained watching the world through the window. This charming boy has a soft, shiny coat and loves attention, though he prefers to keep his paws on the ground (he’s not a fan of being picked up). While he’s independent in his own way, JJ thrives on companionship and will let you know when he wants to be petted or talked to. A few things to keep in mind: JJ can get overstimulated during play so he’s not a match for homes with young children. He’s still shy around strangers and will hide initially but will pop out to investigate once he feels comfortable. JJ hasn’t been tested with other cats or dogs, but a trial adoption could help determine compatibility. Due to JJ's car sickness during his ride to the foster home, he’s hoping for a forever family nearby. His foster mom is heading out of town for Christmas, and JJ would love to spend the holiday with his new family instead of being alone. JJ is microchipped and ready to meet his perfect match! Could you be the one to give this sweet, playful boy the loving home he deserves? Posted: 11/15/24 |
