Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application  Abbott was adopted several months ago  by a good family who had adopted from us before. Unfortunately,  the cat they already had was very aggressive and abusive towards him. With his quiet demeanor,  he continued to regress and he became traumatized. We both decided it was best that he came back to the rescue. After plenty of time to decompress,  Abbott is doing well. He still needs a home without kids under 12, no dominant cats, but he's fine with cat friendly dogs. He's a cool little dude.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. If you are interested in adopting please read the information here and then complete our online adoption application. One of our volunteers will contact you once the application has been processed.  If this animal is listed as a courtesy posting for another rescue please go to their website to complete the online adoption application.     November 4, 2024, 3:25 pm

She would need a kitty companion and could be considered with older children and cat friendly dogs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application  JR, aka Johnny Rotten was just a pitiful,  tiny, sickly little kitten that was found on a road late last summer. He was between 4 and 5 weeks old and had ringworm. He was forced to spend a long period of time without any kitty companions when he really needed it. Then his bloodwork was troubling once he recovered from ringworm. After spending a lot of time and money on this little dude, he's bright,  happy,  playful and very well adjusted considering his rough start. He's great with cats and dogs and probably older kids too. He's purrfect. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Meet Pecan! Pecan is our young black kitten who arrived to our facility with his siblings Pistachio, Almond, and Chestnut. He's currently trying his best to figure out this big scary world with his sister Chestnut at our Rehoboth location. The first week or so he was here, him and his sister did not want to leave their little condo. But the two of them recently were brave enough to venture out into the free roaming kitten room. Pecan is doing pretty well and has made several new feline friends but he does still scurry away when any humans try to come into the room. Pecan is definitely a pro at finding the best hiding places! Pecan's purfect home would be with a family that will be patient and continue to work with him to help build his confidence. Kittens require a significant amount of patience and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a kitten is a critical time to improve socialization and help your kitten become confident. Exposing your kitten to all kinds of touch, sounds, people, and animals can ensure a well-socialized adult cat. Remember, kittens aren't born knowing how to live in a human's world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
