Maria was part of a colony that was cleared in Castle Hayne, NC. She is very affectionate, sweet and playful. She originally tested positive for FeLV, but we have recently retested her for a negative result. This means she may have had it as a kitten, but her immune system fought it off and contained it to numbers that are no longer measurable. it is best in this situation to be prepared to retest every couple of years for a while. Her best friend, Ella is ;in the same position. Ideally they could be adopted together to a home with no other cats. Her current foster home has active dogs, which is more commotion than she enjoys. Sweetie may do well in a home with a calm, older dog that is cat-friendly, but she has not yet been tested with dogs, cats, or children. Molly was found with her litter in a dumpster and was nearly out into the compactor! Luckily the foreman ( our neighbor at the time)heard the mews of her mom and rescued them just in time. As a result of this traumatizing experience, Molly is quite nervous and needs a very quiet home. Or home now has small children and all the noise that goes along with that and it's just too much for her. I think she could do well in with a home with older adults or some other calm environment.
