Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Chaplin is a super sweet lap kitty who just loves to fall asleep in someone's lap while purring. He charmed all of the vet techs when he went to the vet for his vaccinations and exam! He is currently living outdoors on a property in Grand Junction but would love to be an indoor kitty where he can receive more love and attention. Transport can be arranged to the Front Range area! Children 12 and over.  Born August 2023. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
This is our cat Miley. We adopted her as a kitten 13 years ago for my daughter who took her with her when she moved out 9 years ago. We got her back when my daughter moved to Chicago 4 years ago. She lost her best friend (an older cat who "raised" her) 2 years ago and has had a hard time since then. We were given a rescued kitten last Christmas and hoped she would be happier with a new friend. But...he torments her trying to play. She has no interest in playing with him. She just hides and growls at him. 3 weeks ago I had to take in my other daughter's cat and dog till January. Now it is worse for her. She HATES dogs. Unfortunately she is expressing her dislike by peeing on my new couch and new bed 2-3 times a day. She is a sweet cat but is not very affectionate. She needs to be an only cat for someone who isn't away from home 14 hours a day for work. It breaks my heart to give her up, but i can no longer cope with how she is expressing her dislike for her living situation.

Story
This handsome hunk is the total package! If you are looking for a cuddler and a lovebug, easy going and laid back, Wally is your boy! He also LOVES wand toys. Wally is good with strangers. The first day I (foster mama) received him, he crawled in my lap right away and started purring! And hasn't stopped since. Loves, neck, chin and head scratches. Wally has quite the amazing large bright green eyes as well. He has the temperament of a Maine Coon exactly but of course he is not telling his lineage. He is labeled 'medium fur' but its actually between medium and long. His fluffy tail is more medium. Wally also loves his litter box.Not sure if he would do well with another cat, however I think he would be good with a 6 month kitten or younger. He plays under the door with my 6 month old kitten and seems happy to bat paws with him. Wally would do best in a home without children. Dogs have been hit or miss...  a small, gentle dog would probably be ok.  Keep in mind, anytime you are introducing two pets to one another, a period of acclimitization is necessary... at least several days, if not a couple of weeks!! Wally was born in April 2023Wally can be visited in his foster home in south Ft. Collins. Foster: CP   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. Chebba is a cuddly kitty who really likes her scratching post. She can be shy at first and will need time to adjust to a new home. We recommend an experienced cat owner for Chebba. She'll do best with older children, and she'll need a slow intro to other pets.November 2, 2024, 9:00 pm

Story
What a handsome dude. Moon is a shy guy who wants nothing but to be close to the people he loves. And he wants clean water, too; that's important. Because Moon tends to be afraid of, well, almost everything, he takes time to get comfy with new places and faces. He needs to be the only pet in his new home, and he'll need a slow intro to the environment.November 2, 2024, 9:00 pm
