Story
Señor Gato is a charming 4-year-old tuxedo cat with a loving personality. Once he warms up to you, he’ll follow you everywhere, always eager for companionship. His story is as unique as he is—three years ago, we rescued him from the engine of my mother-in-law's car. After ensuring he had no microchip or a family, we gave him a home filled with love and care. For nearly three wonderful years, Señor Gato has brought joy to our family. While our husky needed some time to adjust, they’ve managed to coexist peacefully. However, with our son now 10 months old and crawling, Señor Gato has been feeling overwhelmed. Despite his gentle nature, he’s started marking his territory in the baby’s room as he tries to avoid the little one’s curious chases. Señor Gato deserves a calm and loving home where he can thrive without stress. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, he’s ready to bring warmth and love to your life.

Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Piper is a silly kitten! He likes to “hug” other cats by flinging his tail over their backs and walking alongside them. He has a lot of energy and loves wand toys. Piper would be fine as a single cat, but he’s quite attached to his brother Cirrus and he would love to go home with him. Born in March 2024. Children 9 and over. foster: ps Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Imagine this: you’re a young (2 yrs old) papa cat looking out for your kittens (5 months old) all on your own. Their mom is gone, you don’t know where, but you know that your babies won’t survive without you. So you take them to a kind person’s house where luckily you get food for your family, but you aren’t able to come inside. Winter is approaching, dangers abound, and you don’t know what else to do.This was Jerry Bananas’ story. He did such a fantastic job taking care of his daughters, including Shirley (other kittens are with other fosters). Jerry raised some beautiful girls and kept them safe, but now he can relax too, knowing that he is safe and sound.  Jerry is an absolute lovebug who is affectionate and outgoing. He loves to play, loves pets, and loves to flop down and take a nap. Shirley is so sweet and quiet. She enjoys toys and Churu treats. She will sit in your lap and purr while you pet her.  Since Shirley is a tad on the nervous side and would benefit from her very confident pop being at her side, they should stay together. Besides - why would you want to split up this pair of survivors anyway?? Also, Jerry’s adoption fee is waived if adopted with Shirley! ($300 for both) Jerry and Shirley have good litter box manners. They’re neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for FIV/FeLV. They're pretty much perfect! They are wonderful with other cats and can be tested with dogs if needed. Kids 8 and older would be okay. Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Name: Miss Kitty Breed: Domestic Medium Hair Sex: Spayed Female Age: 2 years Weight: 11 lbs Good with dogs? Miss Kitty met one gentle, cat friendly dog and was nervous, but with proper, very slow introductions, she may warm up to a peaceful dog. Good with cats? She needs a solo cat home. Good with kids? She needs a peaceful home with humans who can read her body language and respect her boundaries. Energy level: Medium while recuperating from major surgery, but she is strong-willed and has been hopping around as she heals, enjoying play time with wand toys and even using a scratcher with her one front paw! Medical/behavioral needs: Miss Kitty suffered an unknown traumatic injury and was surrendered to a shelter instead of receiving immediate medical attention. She had a fractured shoulder and required amputation of her front left leg. She endured months of pain and suffering, so she needs time to heal and remember that humans are good and want to love her. Animal Characteristics: Miss Kitty is a sweet, beautiful young cat who is warming up to humans as she recovers from trauma. She will start to purr when a human approaches, genuinely wants affection and seeks out companionship, but can become nervous and overstimulated. Her adopter should be prepared to go slowly, comfort Miss Kitty, and give her space and grace as she settles into her well-deserved, loving, safe, forever home. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
