I'm a feral barn cat looking for a home. The SPCA often receives great cats like me who are are looking for a safe place to call home. I can even help you with pest control! Because I am feral, you won't find me in the Adoption Center with the other cats. The SPCA is keeping me in a quiet, comfortable place where I won't be scared. If you would like to adopt me, please ask Customer Service!Learn more: https://www.spcamc.org/barn-cat-adoptions/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 0

Meow, my name Loki!I came into the SPCA when my owner could no longer care for me. It's not my fault my owners could no longer keep me. I am looking for a quiet home where I can relax in a sunbeam and be your faithful companion. I am very affectionate and would love to cuddle in your lap and purr. I'm a good cat. Special Needs: As you can see, right now there's a bit more of me to love. I'm working on it, though! The kind folks at the SPCA have me on a diet and exercise plan that they would be happy to share with you. Please give me a chance and I'll show you how fit and perfect I'll be with just a little more work. I am eligible for Foster to Adopt! Please speak to a SPCA staff member for more information. Story
Introducing Blueberry! This cuddly kitten recently came to AFRP from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where he wasn't fairing well in the shelter environment. Now in loving foster home, Blueberry is ready to find his picture purr-fect family! Blueberry can be shy upon initial meeting, but once he warms up he's the ultimate cuddle-bug! His foster shares that he is the most cuddly, sweet baby. He loves making biscuits, has non-stop loud purrs, lays on your lap to nap, cuddles with you every morning, gives morning kisses (he likes to lick your face!). Churus and wand toys are the keys to winning Blueberry's heart! He also loves soft silicon brushes! Due to his shy nature, adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over the age of 15 would be ideal for Blueberry. It's important to understand he may take some time to warm up to his new family, Blueberry will need to be given space and time to grow comfortable, and adopters must allow him the opportunity to decompress at his speed. Blueberry would love to find a home with another confident cat to keep him company. At this time, it is unknown how Blueberry would do with dogs in the home but may do fine with a cat-savvy dog. All introductions should be slow, and over a stretch of time to ensure positive socialization. Blueberry is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.

Story
Introducing Porsche! This handsome purr-machine of a kitten came to us with his siblings Beamer and Mercedes (our car week trio!) from Hitchcock Road Animal services as a litter of stray kittens. Porsche is a little ball of energy with a motor that revs up the moment he spots you and he sounds just like a tiny race car! With his ghostly soft hairs, wild cat appearance, and striking eyes, he's truly one-of-a-kind. His long arms add an extra dash of uniqueness, making him stand out even more. The second you walk into the room, Porsche's purrs kick into high gear, filling the space with his love and excitement. He's a fast-paced, purr-powered bundle of joy, ready to race straight into your heart. Porsche's ideal family would be with adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over the age of six. He’d do best in a home with another cat. He’s looking for a family that can give him the time to be slowly introduced to other animals over a couple of weeks. Porsche is currently at our adoptions location inside Pet Food Express at the Crossroads in Carmel. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received.

Story
We found Salt and Pepper at around 2 weeks old under a ladder, and we bottle fed them. Now they are around 7 months old, they are strictly indoors, fixed, and they both have flea collars. Salt is female, she is a very loving cat, vocal, and she’s the one that starts the mischief most of the time, but she loves to lay down and cuddle. Pepper is male, he’s more shy at first, but he also loves to get attention and he’s very food motivated. Rehoming fee is $100 to ensure a good home. We love them, but we don’t have the time and we just wanna make sure they get the most perfect home.

Story
Meet Molly!Molly is a snuggly kitten who is learning to be brave. She was part of a feral colony and is still working on her socialization and doing very well! She will need a cat savvy, paitent adopter who is willing to continue her socialization while also keeping her safe indoors. Molly has found that she enjoys the company of other cats, especially similar aged kittens! She has not been around dogs and will need a slow introduction to them. She is wary of fast movement and new sounds and may not do well with small children. Molly loves to be petted, but will need some time to warm up and right now is not a lap cat. But we are sure with time and dedication, she will bloom into the perfect companion! Now through December 23rd – the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is hosting “Home for the Holidays”.
