Story
Zorro and Zalen are brothers, and they are devoted to each other. They are both grey and white and are a playful, lovable pair. Both are really sweet and affectionate. They get along well with other kittens and adult cats. Zorro is a fluffy patchwork kitten with a white collar, muzzle, and paws. His fur is slightly longer than his brother’s, and he loves to have it brushed. Of the two, Zorro is the more outgoing kitten. He is a great playmate. He and his brother are happy to run up and down the hallway, chasing a laser pointer or a ball. Both are good climbers and enjoy a large cat tree. Our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7. Young kittens must go home in pairs, or to a home with another cat. Infrequently we will make exceptions. We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens! Story
Philly Jenkins Rescue is a 501(c)(3) San Francisco-based Cat Rescue founded in 2024. It is dedicated to rescuing cats needing high-risk medical aid and helping cats facing euthanasia find loving homes. Philly Jenkins Rescue will provide a medical history; each adoption will include microchipping. All cats will undergo spaying or neutering before being placed in their new home. Cats that have not been spayed are available for pre-adoption. Email: PhillyJenkinsRescue@PhillyJenkinsRescue.Org Please include the Cat’s name in the subject line and your phone number.  Adoption Status: Available for Adoption In October 2023, Mittens was obtained from the (SFSPCA). Philly Jenkins Rescue‘s founder encountered Mittens while volunteering shortly after he underwent an eye removal procedure. In order to facilitate Mittens’ recovery and ensure he received the necessary medical attention—which would have been financially burdensome for a new owner—the founder adopted him. This decision was made to provide the comprehensive medical care required for Mittens to flourish in a non-shelter environment. About Mittens Extremely affectionate. Highly adaptable to any environment with children and other pets. Mittens is a highly curious cat who is not afraid to inspect new environment changes. Mittens loves to play and his enrichment choices are laser pointers, chasing smaller breed dogs, and cat trees. Dislikes: Baths. All medical documentation is provided with adoption. Health: Philly Jenkins Rescue has offered a comprehensive range of services, which include neutering, microchipping, administration of flea treatment every month, and blood testing. Additionally, the organization conducts FIV testing (yielding a negative result), deworming, dental examinations, and treatment for ringworm and upper respiratory conditions, parasitology testing, ear cleaning, and a secondary eye surgery to address an infection that was not resolved during the initial procedure. **Home Accessibility Requirements:** It is essential to ensure that pathways to food and windows are easily navigable. Mittens, experiences difficulties in assessing height and thus requires appropriately sized furniture to facilitate movement within the home environment. Avoid obstructions.   December 9, 2024, 1:40 pm

Several months later, Mom Cat gave birth to another litter in the resident’s backyard, prompting contact with our Founder prior to the establishment of Philly Jenkins Rescue. When the kittens reached an appropriate age, our Founder traveled to Central Valley to rescue. Four kittens were successfully rescued and have since been placed in forever homes. In January 2024, Mom Cat was rescued along with two of her kittens from her third litter as well as her mate, Mr. Jenkins, who our founder a rescued and adopted in January 2024. Learn more about the Jenkins Family in our other posts. About Mom Cat Mom Cat was extremely feral cat when rescued. Mom Cat does well with small breed dogs ( not yet introduced to large breeds). Mom Cat has experience with teens 14 and over. Prefers not to be picked up and inciates pets at her leisure. She enjoys quiet environments and would make a single house companion. Story
Rhiannon (aka Rhi-Rhi aka Little Lion) is a special cat looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days. She loves to give gentle face sniffs, get a good brushing, and of course receive some good chin and ear scratches. Her two absolute favorite things in the world are lounging in afternoon sunny spots and her crinkled paper ball. Rhiannon spends most of the day dozing, but as soon as she hears the rustle of her paper ball she is at the ready to play a very slow game of fetch. She truly carries one of her many crinkled balls with her everywhere she goes and back to her bed before snuggling up to nap again. She also loves to stand on her hind-legs at the window and chirp at the birds! While Rhiannon still has a playful side, she is arthritic and a bit wobbly when she moves around. She takes 3 medications daily mixed into wet food (no fuss). She would do best in a home without other pets or very young children. (She has lived with another cat successfully while in the shelter, but she has not befriended her foster’s cats.) She’s made great progress in her foster home, opening up to receiving pets and being brushed, but she can still startle easily. She would benefit from living with someone who can read cat body language well and provide her space when requested. She will do best in a calm home with children.over 10 years old. Yourtube video playing fetch: https://youtu.be/-paUD1sGXn8 Rhiannon is vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and is microchipped.
