Story
Capri is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates. If you are interested in adopting Capri, please submit an adoption application at http://www.sgvaa.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Your adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all their health and medical needs. Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. We can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) PetSmart. SGVAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization serving the San Gabriel Valley area. For more information on how you can help your community, please visit: www.sgvaa.org Their Adoption Process If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets or have additional questions, please fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it may take us within 24-48 hours to respond. Our little fur babies are so adorable that sometimes we get multiple applications for one pet! So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAA’s adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Our organization also educates the community on the importance of early vaccinations for fatal and easily preventable diseases. We also advocate spaying or neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted. Come Meet Their Pets Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. Story
Binx is a very handsome all-black cat. He was trapped as a feral kitten but has never successfully bonded with humans. His preference is to be left alone and he enjoys relaxing at AALOC in the sun. With a bit of time Binx will warm up and welcome affectionate scratches especially underneath his chin. He also loves to play with his toys. Adult only home required. If you feel you have the experience and patience to work with a highly unsocial feline that started life as a feral cat, please submit an application to adopt Binx. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Binx and get to know him a bit. You may also sponsor Binx as a long-term resident of AALOC by donating for his care. Please visit https://tinyurl.com/petsponsor for more information regarding pet sponsorship and email us at AALOC@AALOC.org for details on how you can become Binx’ benefactor. Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on adoption policies visit our cat adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org

Story
Kit Kat was loved by her previous owner and her husband. Unfortunately her owner became very ill and the husband could no longer take care of Kit Kat. So he brought her to AALOC, knowing we would provide Kit Kat a safe environment until a new person fell in love with this beautiful, female Mackerel tabby. Kit Kat is very friendly. She enjoys human companionship and is affectionate. Many Mackerel tabby cat owners feel this breed of cat is one of the best to own. We agree that Mackerel tabbies are very special! Please submit an application to adopt Kit Kat at www.AALOC.org. Story
A compassionate animal lover heard meowing from behind a wall at the rental house at which she was vacationing. This lady would not give up until the rental house owner came to review her claim. Sure enough, there was a cat trapped! No one wanted to take the cat so the lady thought she could integrate Winston (as she named him) into her pet household. Unfortunately, her dog had different ideas for Winston. So, the Good Samaritan called AALOC for help. Winston is a medium-haired, black and white Tuxedo cat. He couldn’t have been trapped too long because he is in good health. A vet visit confirmed that he is ready to find his forever home. Winston is playful and loving with long white whiskers and a black button nose. The white fur on his belly is as soft as a cloud and his four white paws couldn’t be any cuter. Give him a toy and you’ve just made a new best friend. Please apply to adopt Winston at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Winston and get to know him a bit. Story
In the middle of the night a man left a box with three kittens on the sidewalk by the street in front of AALOC. Maybe he thought he was saving the kittens but in essence his actions resulted in the death of two of them. By the time the AALOC team came in the next morning; the box was empty except for a bowl of cat food. The three kittens had escaped from the box. The AALOC set out traps but sadly only one was captured. One other was found by a neighbor: it had been hit by a car and was dead in the street. The last kitten was never seen again. The surviving cat was named Leo. Leo is a very handsome feline with golden eyes and a stunning coat of thick striped fur accented with a fuzzy white throat and stomach. When he was initially found Leo had an upper respiratory infection but that has been treated and cured and he is ready for a new home. Please apply to adopt Leo at ww.aaloc.com. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Leo and get to know him a bit.
