Story
Hi future family, my name is Marilyn!  I’m looking for a good home full of love because I have not been so lucky until recently.  I was left by the side of the road, hungry and with my babies when my current mom found and rescued us.  She named me Marilyn because, come on, can’t you see the resemblance?  I am very affectionate but you have to be patient and earn my trust.  I may need space at first so as we get to know each other please let me come to you.  It doesn’t take very long for me to start to warm up if you show me consistent love, patience, and I have my safe space.  I’m learning to communicate when I don’t want to be touched but I will let you know when I miss you with an adorable cry that will fill your heart.  Because of past traumas I would be at my best and feel safest as an only pet.  I deserve a happily ever after.  I’m so excited to get to know you and I hope you will be my forever family.
We'll also keep you updated on Remi's adoption status with email updates.

1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) What better way to start the new year than by adding two sweet and lovable kittens to your family! Remi and Rue enjoy lounging in front of the fireplace together; they enjoy lying on the couch watching TV with their foster parents and they enjoy greeting visitors that come over. Both Remi and Rue like sleeping on the bed…Rue under the covers and Remi on top of the covers…always right next to their foster mom. Rue is an amazing snuggle kitty and can always be found on someone’s lap. Remi is never far away, usually sleeping on a soft blanket on the couch. With the cooler weather Rue will definitely keep you warm at night. Remi and Rue are very well behaved kittens that respect the personal space of the resident cats in their foster home. They are very people oriented and will want to spend as much time with their family as possible. They love playing with wand toys and playing with each other. Remi is a good big brother and can be found grooming Rue before their cat naps. Remi and Rue have been waiting for quite a while for a wonderful family to adopt them. Please consider giving these two sweet adorable kittens a loving home to call their own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello people, let me introduce myself….my name is Remi and I have been waiting to get adopted, with my sister Rue, for quite a while and I can’t figure out why. I know our family is out there and that they will be ready to meet us real soon. Rue and I are amazing kittens, and I personally think that we are perfect kittens! We are affectionate; we are both experienced couch and bed snugglers; we are great for keeping you warm now that the weather is cooler; we are well mannered and don’t get into a lot of trouble; we have synchronized purring and we purr loudly; we are outgoing; and quite frankly we are super adorable. But that doesn’t even begin to shed a light on how amazing we are. There are so many great things about us that I can’t possibly list them all here, you really need to meet us. This is the perfect time of year to start thinking about how you will send those cold, rainy days that are ahead of us. The best way to spend a rainy day is to stay home on the couch with a soft fuzzy blanket and a pair of purring kittens lying on you. Doesn’t that sound amazing? It sure sounds amazing to me! If you have been thinking about adding a couple of amazing and sweet kittens to your family now is the perfect time. Come and meet Rue and I today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! Please consider giving these two sweet adorable kittens a loving home to call their own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello friends, my name is Rue and I am looking for a family that would like two great kittens (me and my brother Remi) to share their love with. I recently obtained a degree in snuggling and graduated at the top of my class. My brother Remi tries to compete with me but he just doesn’t have what I have when it comes to being the greatest snuggler. Don’t get me wrong, he is good, just not as good as I am. Remi has been my rock since my brother Rocky got adopted. Rocky and I were very close, since we were very young, and I had a real hard time when he was gone and I missed him a lot for a long time. My foster mom told us that it would be very hard to find an amazing home for two black kittens so she had to let Rocky get adopted with our sister Rosie because their new mom was amazing and she fell in love with little Rocky. Remi and I have grown a lot closer and we spend a lot of time together playing and sleeping. Remi even grooms me while we kneed and suck on our comfort blanket. We love to play with all kinds of toys, we like to climb tall cat trees and we lime to spend a lot of time with our foster family, even if we are all just hanging out watching TV together. If nobody has ever told you, black kitties are amazing. There are even several Facebook groups that talk about how amazing we are….AND we have our own appreciation day! How cool is that! As much as Remi and I like our foster home and foster family, we are ready to move on and have our own home and our own family. With the rainy weather upon us it’s the perfect time to spend your days cuddled up with your two new family members….Rue and Remi. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! Story
Hello, I`m Emma. In my golden years, I`ve become a master of relaxation. I`m independent, preferring to observe the world around me with gentle curiosity. I might be a bit shy at first, but give me time and I`ll warm up to you. I`m a mellow soul, appreciating the quieter moments in life. Despite my reserved nature, I`m friendly and enjoy the occasional petting session. I`m the perfect companion for someone who values peace and tranquility. I might not be the youngest cat in the shelter, but I have a lifetime of love to give. I value my time to myself, so I am required to go to a single cat home. Noise and activity can be frightening, so any children in my new home are required to be 10 and over. Adopt me and let`s enjoy the simple pleasures of life together.Adoption Fee $50 monthly promo applies
